AVO XO Preludio TubosFor those who prefer very, very mild cigars, this will be a bold choice, and can serve as a “transition cigar” for those who would like to slowly become better aquatinted with fuller bodied cigars. For those who prefer the heady Nicaraguan, the full-bodied liegero packed cigars of the Dominican Republic, or the full-bodied, full-flavor, full-throttled strong puros of Cuba, this is a pleasant change of pace that will not give one the impression that one is sucking air down a paper straw that has lawn clippings in it. This cigar has the standard quality construction that one expects of the Avo line—quality tobaccos, quality blend, quality construction, allowing an even burn, a consistent draw, and a pleasant taste. This cigar tends to be bit stronger and spicier than the regular Avo. However, it retains the smooth, rich creaminess that one has come to expect with the Avo name. The smooth cinnamon-colored wrapper, make the cigars of the Avo XO line very pleasant to look at, and feel comfortable in the hand. This cigar produces a white smoke that has a very creamy texture, and a wonderful floral component. The cigar draws well, and lights easily. The cigar’s flavors start out mild, and builds through the smoke, with a floral creaminess married with ever-increasing flavors of cedar, and citrus, held together by a spicy core. The slow transition allows for a smoke that is palatable for those with milder tastes, yet the complexity will keep those who enjoy full-bodied cigars satisfied, as it builds to fuller, spicier flavors. Towards the end it becomes very spice, leaving a quite flavorful finish. Definitely a cigar that will please all tastes. Measures 6 X 40
