 | | | | | | | | | | McClelland Tin - Frog Morton (100g) Seward says in his review for P&T "This is a big hit with many puffers I know, but sounds just one clarion note for me: Latakia. It seems to be some sort of Cavendish treatment of a huge proportion of Latakia, and I can see that there are other things in the blend, but I can’t taste them. The aroma in the tin is remarkably subdued, but the Latakia announces itself immediately at the match. It is very smooth and cool, and burns to a medium gray ash. My pipes smelled like Latakia after one bowl. This is just too monochromatic for my tastes, but if you like Latakia (and I do), and just want to taste it alone (and I don’t) all day, then here you go.

| | | | | | McClelland Tin - Frog Morton on the Town 100g This is a softer Frog Morton blend. Frog Morton formulated this exceptionally mellow blend, fragrant with basma, smooth and rich with Latakia for his evening at the opera. This is a new blend and hailed as exceptional by all lovers of Frog Morton

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | McClelland Tin - Virginia Woods (100g) This tobacco is formulated for a smooth, rich flavor with an incomparable woodsy aroma. Blended from the finest matured red cake, stoved black Virginia, wide-cut bright Virginia, and other premium tobaccos. Virginia woods offers one of the ultimate experiences in Fragrant Matured Virginia blended smoking.

McClelland Tin - Grey Havens (100g) This is something that might appeal to those who favor Danish blends of Burley, Virginia and Cavendish. It is a predominantly dark brown to black medium-cut blend with a few blond strands. Composed of Burley and matured Virginias with a Cavendish treatment, it smelled at a distance (at first upon opening) like vanilla, but directly from the tin like chocolate, though laid on with a restrained hand. What makes it interesting is the addition of Perique. It lights and burns well, much cooler than the Danish blends aforementioned, has an attractive aroma, but in a few moments one notices the pleasant stewed fruitiness of the Perique as a very agreeable accompaniment. It gives Grey Havens a surprising intricacy not found in similar blends. It is a quiet, pleasant blend, good for those idle moments when you want the world to pass you by, and burns to a black/gray mottled ash. If you look for big flavor, this would be too bland and you should continue your search.

| | | McClelland Tin - Deep Hollow (100g) Far into the woods, away from the urban cacophony, is where this lightly fragrant blend of rich, red, and black stoved Virginias is designed to transport you. Relax and enjoy the moment. This is an exceptional pleasure.
