The hare is distributed in most parts of Europe, but also exists in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. In old days the hare had a great value for culinary and popular medicine reasons, but was also ascribed magical qualities. By eating haremeat you were suppose to improve your appearance. The poet laureate wrote about a Roman emperor who evidently need this, "Always fair is the emperor, who daily eats hare"

The angular shape of the head of the hare and its soft and round body form can be a fantastic pipe if it is possible to combine the angular with the round, and facet mouthpiece like the ear of the hare - Mogens Andersen.

This pipe had been fitted with genuine horn and finished with the fine detail you have come to expect from Nording pipes.
