Newminster No. 47 Danish Black

Newminster No. 47 Danish Black starts out as sweet yellow Virginias which are specially fermented and steamed to create a traditional European black Cavendish. Then the tobacco is gently infused with soft, sweet caramel and a smooth fruit note for outstanding flavor and aroma.

No. 47 Danish Black
This is a good smoking Danish Black Cavendish. I can taste the fruit note more than the caramel but the aroma is great. Burns cool with no bite or moisture and leaves a white ash. This will be in my rotation.

New to Pipe Smoking
I have been smoking a pipe a little more than a year and have tried several types of tobacco. Danish is by far my favorite. Great taste and aroma make it an obvious winner.

Pipe Tobacco
I am 60 years young and started smoking a pipe when I was 17. Since then I've smoked off and on over the years. The first blended pipe tobacco I liked was Lane BCA. I have found that most black cav. aromatic blends are super mild. For me this blend was no exception. Very nice but a standard black cav. A beginners tobacco.

One of the best...
I recently acquired a nice Nording freehand pipe. I decided that the first tobacco for my Danish pipe should be the Newminster No. 47 Danish Black. This was my first experience with both that pipe and tobacco. Both are wonderful. The pipe handles well and the tobacco is great. There is a little of the caramel and slight sweetness that is not overpowering at all. It packs with such ease and burns perfectly with a good amount of smoke. I have used them both several times and every time is a total pleasure. I seem to have difficulty with other tobacco but this one has not failed me at all. I highly recommend it. A true delight.
Customer Testimonials
Again I was very impressed with the quality of these tobaccos, a very good black cavendish. Nice soft taste with plenty of flavor. Stays lit and left my bowl nice and dry. This stuff suits my taste well, I find it as good or maybe even better than lanes bca. I will be reordering this as well as the 31 optimal choice. Newminster has became my favorite I do believe.
