Missouri Meerschaum Hardwood Sale

Our friends from Washington, Missouri, Missouri Meerschaum Pipes, have dealt with some issues recently as the severe drought last year meant that the crop of corn specifically grown for making corn cob pipes was a little short and has caused some supply issues. Rather than leaving their fans wanting, they came up with a great new series of products to deliver the great value they’re known for. They’ve taken three of their most popular lines of cobs, the Diplomat, the Great Dane and the Country Gentleman, and have begun making them available in a hardwood maple version.

Love the price and the pipe!
If you like cobs your going to love these hardwood pipes. They smoke long and cool. Have tried different tobaccos and they have all burnt to ash. Have gotten the full flavor from them all as well. At this price you can use one as a work pipe or in your tackle box. If it gets damaged or lost you may cry cause you lost a good pipe but not over the price. Pitch one on the dash of the truck and it will always be there for you.

Love this thing
This is one of my favorite pipes. Holds perfectly in hand and doesn't overheat as long as you take your time. I cut the shank down on mine and threw on a lucite saddle bit and love it. These hardwoods are exceptional pipes for their cost. Buy one and you won't be disappointed!

Believe me
I own some very nice briars and meerschaums but honestly these maple pipes have become my daily pipe. Forget the low price they are simply great.

Does more money really equal a better smoke?
These hardwood maples along with the famous cobs are the best smoking pipes around. Yeah a briar looks great but nothing smokes better than these cheap pipes. If the price tag means quality to you buy briar. If a cool dry smoke is what you see as quality then buy a cheap pipe and use the money you save to tip your valet. That being said i would like to make a comment about the filters. all 4 of the Missouri Meerschaum pipes I bought from here had musty smelling filters. Musty=mold=fungus. I dont know if these were on a shelf too long or what but i hope someone does look into it. I would hate for Missouri Meerschaum of Pipes and Cigars to loss any customers over something like that.

Economic smoke
The Missouri Maple pipe is a good smoking pipe. It is well worth the price!!! I also like the fact that it is longer than most of the more expensive pipes.

This was a most pleasant surprise!
Had not smoked a pipe in years. I decided to try something new. Always had briars. For the price I thought I would use it to test out some tobacco then purchase a "real" pipe. This was a most pleasant surprise. This is a quality pipe that will most certainly be in my rotation, as I purchase more pipes. Clear draw, comfortable and light weight. Very happy to have found this and will try more traditional hardwoods.

Shipped back
I just didn't think the quality was that great, loose stem in one and crooked shank in the other. Cost me shipping rates but it was all based on principle at that point. I'll stick with the cobs from Missouri meerschaum from now on.

Great Pipe for a great price!
This is the second one I have purchased of these...they smoke well so I got another one so I always have one...good pipe to tote about because if you lose it you are only out $10....I really like these pipes!

Not that great
Well these were not what I expected. Stem was wobbly and the bit was loose. I returned them even though it cost me. I'll stick with the cobs.

Nice Maplewood Pipe
Even though it is a very affordable, mass produced pipe, it smokes very nicely. Stays lit very well, easy to smoke and doesn't detract from the taste of the tobacco. Nice dry smoke too. No gurgle. I use it primarily with my Dunhill tobaccos or Oriental and Latakia blends.

Great service
The products were exactly as described, the order was fulfilled perfectly, and the delivery time was quicker than projected. I was totally satisfied.

New Piper Review
This is my first pipe, I wanted a wood pipe, but cheap and this fit the bill. The taste of the wood was not like a maple: more like smoking out of a 2x4. Take note: the taste quickly faded after the first bowl. I have found that I can smoke this pipe so hot that the wood caught fire and my hands did not feel a thing. I am very new to this hobby so I wanted a pipe that would look decent but not create a foreclose on my house. I was disappointed to find out that the bent version was back-ordered... However looks phenomenal. The first thing my sister said was, "I thought you bought a $10 pipe". One thing I hate, is that light brown stem does show the moisture, so it is kinda repulsive to me in that aspect, but that is the only flaw I can find.

This pipe shows excellent performance! The smoke was cool and smooth and the price is so cheap too! definitely worth a buy

A surprising little pipe for a newbie
Being new to pipe smoking, this pipe is my first wooden pipe. I've put a few bowls through it and from a beginner point of view I can't find anything to complain about. The construction is great, it's light, has a great draw and doesn't get too hot unless I'm puffin too much. Between this and another MM pipe I bought before this I honestly don't see the need to purchase a more expensive briar pipe in the future (though I probably will), this is just that satisfying of a pipe to smoke. And who can beat the price?! Even if you end up not enjoying it, you're only out 2 cups of espresso coffee instead of a dinner and movie for two.

So far...So good
As with other filter equipped pipes, the drawback is that you can't run a pipe cleaner through them while you're smoking. Otherwise it's doing well so far; how long it will last (as compared to brier) remains to be seen.

Just the thing for a casual smoke in the woods or just sitting on the deck.

Good Pipe
Hey this is a good pipe for what I paid. Smokes good if you really pack it but I only smoke it when I'm not in a hurry as I end up sitting there for a while. Expect it to last for a while..I like it...

Hardwood for a Hardhead
Being a self proclaimed throwback to yesteryear I was immedialtey drawn to corncob pipes and I really like them, but the Maple Hardwood Diplomat pipe has become my go too pipe, rugged looks and rugged construction is my reason, love it.

Love it! And the price!
This is my first pipe, but I love it! I really wanted a wooden pipe instead of a corncob, but most are pretty pricey. I somehow came across this and I couldn't believe it was only $10! The wood and stem are both excellent, and the weight is nice. Not heavy at all, but it still has a decent weight to it. I actually meant to buy the diplomat instead, but I'm still very happy with this purchase.

Customer Testimonials
I ordered my 2nd Mable hardwood today along w\ replacement bits, I wish M&M would make cherry hardwood in more models.
Very cool and well spent money for this pipe meaning " it is what it is" a low cost pipe that smokes well.
I own both MM cobs and wood pipes. I smoke these more than my good briars. They are smooth and cool smoking, the tobacco tastes good in them. You don't need to fuss much with them either. I clean them one a day when I'm through, that's it. Always a sweet smoke! I smoke mostly American burley and Virginia blends and no better way to go with them, a cob or maple wood !
Didn't know what to expect with this hard wood pipe. I have a few of their corncob pipes which I love. It smokes well and feels good in the hand.
I got myself a Country Gentlemen hard wood, and some country gentlemen tobacco, and it is a match made in heaven. The pictures, really don't do justice to how deep the bowl is on this, a nice pack will easily last an hour or longer, for a nice relaxing smoke.
This review is on the Maple Hardwood Diplomat Straight. Very pleased. The bowl does get hot, but the warmth feels nice on the hands. The maple is attractive. The rustic nature gives it a natural, down-to-earth look. The poker-style makes a good sitter. No stand or tray needed. Sits comfortably in the hand and is very light. The stem actually pulls out from the bowl, which makes cleaning easier. Only problem appears to be that the portion of the stem that sits above the inside bowl is charred and could vanish in the future. Excellent American-made pipe!
Good smoke, satisfied.Thanks
The Great Dane and Diplomat Hardwood pipes are my best smokers. Once these char a bit and get a cake they will smoke as good or better than briar since they absorb a lot of moisture. The shapes fit the hand incredibly well and the price is outstanding. A must have for fisherman or campers as well as a great mowing the lawn pipe!!
I love this pipe its has a nice size chamber that lasts me at least an hour of smoke time. This pipe smokes like a champ and it's American made what could be better. And love the price thanks P&C.
OK. The 2 reasons I tried the Country Gentleman bent was I liked the look of the stem and the price. Plus I was looking for a cheap beater pipe that was a little sturdier than my cobs. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. This has become one of my favorites. It smokes as well as my more expensive briars. Pack light and it smokes cool to the touch and the taste. Granted, the first 2 or 3 bowls had a wood taste, but that soon left. A great smoke and nice looking, too. After a month of smoking, it has become charred around the top of the bowl, but I think that adds a little character to it. BTW, I do remove the filter in most of my pipes, this one included. The pipe has great draw and no moist sounds, unless your tobacco is super moist. Packed light, it burns my aromatics to char. I highly recommend it. Oh, and I find the shape fits my hand perfectly. I get a lot of comments on how good it looks. Buy one, I think you will enjoy it and you can't go wrong on the price.
Very clean smooth draw. Surprised!
The Diplomat has a nice large bowl, but, even full, it is light and the bend in the stem is right. The first few times I smoked it there was a slightly woody taste, but that soon passed. I enjoy this pipe immensely.
I love this Diplomat, Maple Hardwood, Straight Amber Bit Pipe. It looks good. It feels good in my mouth. I appreciate the filter and catalogs that were included. I am especially happy with the rapid shipping and delivery! You have a customer for life. Thank you.
Great pipe just a little heavy for me.
This Diplomat woodie is the sixth MM pipe I own and you just cant beat them for the price. I'd just as soon smoke this pipe as I would my Peterson. Seriously.
I have become a fan of Missouri Meerschaum pipes, the hard wood pipes are great smoking and look amazing compared to many other cheap pipes out there that smoke like garbage!
I love these pipes. This was my second one. They just smoke and smoke without an issues.
I got the Country Gentleman Straight. It's a great pipe for a great price! The wood is hard, for sure, but it does get a bit charred after some use, if you're not careful. The stem is hard plastic, very strong but you might want a softy bit for it to be gentle on the teeth. A big bonus is that it takes a filter- there was even one included with the pipe! I recommend all smokers have a good wooden pipe. Hey Sherlock Holmes had one, it's Canon!
Recently I bought the Country Gentlman and Diplomat hardwood pipes and I am really enjoying both. I like the large bowls which provide a 2 hour smoke on each. As I smoke them I notice the wood is getting a nice color to them
I've only had this pipe a couple weeks, but so far it smokes fine. A little larger than I thought, but I like it. and it does come with a Dr Grabow type filter. Seems to be a good beater pipe.
