NEW BLEND!
Classic Burley Kake is a new blend that pays homage to old-time Burley flakes and cakes. Using Tennessee and Kentucky Burleys, ranging from lighter white to darker mahogany, and a bit of matured red Virginia, this sliced cake tobacco is a traditional American-style blend.
We start with four different types of Burley, the aforementioned Tennessee and Kentucky, plus two different premium white Burleys. Then we add a red Virginia for a maple-like sweetness. Then we use all-natural flavors- cocoa, rum and anise and steam the tobaccos with the flavorings and firmly press and slice it. The aroma is mellow and pleasant, and the taste is lightly sweet with a large volume of smoke.
Hearken back to a simpler time when the sight of a pipe in someone’s mouth while walking down the street was common, and the scent of pipe tobacco was everywhere. Give Classic Burley Kake a try and go back in time.
The new Classic Burley Kake is a similar type of tobacco to Edgeworth Sliced. We're not attempting to to copy Edgeworth, but rather provide smokers with a blend that is similar to yet still unique.

After receiving some calls and emails from members of the New York Pipe Club lamenting the loss of Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe, we wanted to develop a blend with similar characteristics to EMP. After a number of "tweaks", we sent a sample to the club, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We're now making it available to the general public. Try this traditional English mixture of sweet Virginias, fragrant Orientals and rich, smoky Latakia.

Russ Oulette blend called...Frenchy's Sunza Bitches!!!! Yeah, after much
excited anticipation I filled up one a' my LJ Heart pipes with my very own
Russ Oulette blend. Needless to say I wasn't disappointied. Ya' might say
I'd be a rotten judge of a blend created for me, that I'd be a tad biased
and you'd be absolutely right but still and all I gotta say this is a
gloriously delicious blend. Perique up the ying yang and, according to the
baggie, Bright Virginia Flake and Burley finished with Bourbon (hope it's
Jack Daniels). I'm tryin' to be ojective as hell when I tell yiz I love the
hell outta' this blend. It ain't for the faint a' heart nor for lovers of
super-mild blends but if ya' got some puffin' experience under yer belt or
ya' just like a blend with some cahones this is your baby, actually it's my
baby. You who are familiar with Russ O's blends like the aforementioned LJ
Virginia and Burley, Virginia Spice and Old Tartan will love Sunza Bitches
and it definitely lives up to its name 'cause when ya' take that first puff
that's exactly what you'll say, "wooooh sunza bitches this is good stuff!"

The first true aromatic in the Hearth and Home series. A light and dark mixture with rum, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg flavorings. Although the aroma is complex, pleasant and mildly sweet, the spice flavorings come through more prominently in the smoking. A bite-free blend that will please anyone in the room.

Anniversary Kake- We wanted to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Hearth and Home tobaccos
with a special blend, and due to a fortunate "accident", we were able to create this one. We
ordered a blending Virginia that we expected to be all Red, but it turned out to be a mixture of
everything from Lemon through Brown, and when we opened the bag, the aroma was amazing. We
were able to order more of this tobacco, and then we combined it with St. James Perique (a
good amount), heat-treated and pressed it. The result is a smooth, flavorful cake with a
mouth-watering chocolate and fig pouch aroma.

A smooth and sweet blend of Bright and Red Virginias, Macedonian and other Oreintals, smoky Latakia and a touch of unflavored toasted black cavendish. A new interpretation of a blend that was a mainstay in the Albany NY area for more than a half-century. This smooth-smoking mixture uses a variety of cube and rough cut Burleys and a splash of natural Cavendish with just enough Latakia to add a slight smoky spice. The uniqueness of this tobacco, however, comes from a rather rare herb- deertongue. This pale green leaf adds a natural fragrance and light sweetness to the flavor. Enjoy this taste of the past.

Larry Loerzel, one of our regular store customers, and connoisseur of English/Balkan blends had tried Ten to Midnight, and although he liked it, he was looking for something a little fuller and different. Based on his preference, we blended a full, traditional Balkan using Orientals that were more “buttery” and amped-up the Latakia. Larrys blend is now a big hit among our full-bodied English fans; a cool-smoking, very rich mixture.

We have wanted to produce our own Virginia-based flake or Krumble Kake, and the result is Marble Kake. A firmly-pressed blend of Bright and Red Virginias, it comes as a solid piece which can be broken or sliced and rubbed-out, and the flavor changes depending upon how you prepare it. One of our knowledgeable Virginia fans has compared it to Hamborger Veermaster as a smooth, but tasty Virginia blend.

Then name existed before the blend. One of our employees suggested that we make a tobacco called “Distinguished Penguin”, so we took the challenge. As you might expect, this is a light/dark mixture (technically, it’s considered a Scottish blend) of Carolina and Virginia flake-cut, with Stoved Virginia, a light amount of Latakia, and a bit of unflavored toasted Black Cavendish. A mild and slightly sweet smoke with character.

Named after the famed “Million-Dollar Staircase” in Albany, NY’s State Capitol building, it is a truly unique combination of mild, nutty Burley, sweet Virginia and Perique, and finished off with Deertongue (a vanilla-like herb). The result is a non-aromatic blend (no added flavorings) that has an almost French toast-like aroma, and a lightly sweet, smooth smoke that you can enjoy all day.

Lannes Johnson makes some of the coolest and driest smoking pipes
around, but he's as particular about tobacco as he is about his craftsmanship. When he
wanted a Virginia tobacco blend to send as a sample to his pipe customers, he had a
certain idea in mind. So we considered it a real challenge to develop this mixture. It had to
be sweet, but not too much. It had to have a little tang, but without sharpness or bite, and it
