Leonardo's 'The Light'
Continuing with our 'Leonardo' series we introduce the third
in this series of 'Limited Production' pipes. Studies Of the Light.
One of this masters many studies in an effort to add more realism to his paintings involved the study of light and its many unique properties. He often referred to the human eye as "The Master Of the Universe".
It is these studies that inspired us to create this series
in honor of this fascinating genius.

Bent tapered acorn pipe
The second in the Savinelli Leonardo collection.
In 1482 the Duke of Milano commissioned Leonardo da Vinci to produce a bronze horse of huge proportions. Unfortunately, Leonardo never got to realize his idea for the massive project.
In 1978, pilot and art collector Charles Dent read an article in the National Geographic about Leo's plans and conceived a dream to build the horse and present it to the
Italian people as a 'Thank You' gift from America for the treasures of the Renaissance.
Unfortunately, Mr. Dent also did not live to see the completion of the horse, but in September 1999
after five hundred years, the finished 24' high Bronze horse was unveiled. Each pipe is serially numbered with certificate of authenticity and produced in extremely limited numbers.
