Softy Pipe Bits

A lot of people like Softy bits to protect their stems and afford a more comfortable experience. For your convenience and ease of use, we offer you two options. The High Grade are a bit thicker-walled and are a touch more durable. These are perfect for thinner to standard-sized stems. For wider or thicker bits, select the Oversized bits. They're thinner, but they're much easier to put on chunkier stems.

Order extra
Either you love or hate these things. Personally I like to use them to protect my stem from bite marks. Good quality, they last for quite a while but order a few extra to replace them when they wear out.

Best invention since S&H green stamps or sliced bread.

Cushioned & Comfy Bits
It's simple: I only buy pipes with acrylic bits and these are CHEAP n EASY cushions that make holding a pipe between my teeth firm and comfy! The best feature is that these Softy Pipe Bits allow for a more solid and secure grip with your teeth, whether you have your own natural teeth, caps, dental bridges or plates. I have one on every pipe I own.

Softy bits!
I had never thought to use softy bits...but now that I'm using them...i can't smoke without them!

So nice. These make smoking a lot easier on the teeth and a lot more comfortable, especially if you're like me and puff while you mow or work around the yard. Very high quality!

Protect your steams!
Softy pipe bits keep the "CHEWED" teeth marks off your steams! They are also comfortable on your chompers! I would recommend buying 10 at a time as they last me (a 2-3 bowl per day smoker) about 1-2 months but they're at a great price! Protect the investment of owning a pipe and buy some "oversized" as well as some regular to fit all your pipes! Happy smoking!

Protect your investment.
Some pipers don't worry about bite marks on stems. But, if you are like me and you don't want those teeth marks on the stems of your pipes no matter what they cost you, this is a good alternative product. Depending upon button width, these can take a little coaxing to get them to fit but they are worth having around for your pipes that you may tend to clench. I will buy these again and I keep spares on hand.

Great for writers!
These are great. Saves me the worry of messing up my stems with my teeth, comfortable to clench down on with writing or working. Thought it would impart a rubbery taste but it does not at all.

Dagner Brute Hooligan
Pretty new to pipe smoking so when I dropped some relatively big bucks on a Dagner pipe I decided I should get a softy bit to protect the stem whether it needed one or not. Have had it on for a few weeks now and it has held out really well and even if it wasn't needed for protection it does make it really comfortable to clench the pipe and hold it in my mouth. Am looking forward to buying more softy bits for my other pipes I have now and future pipes!

Not for me
I bought them with the purpose of protect my pipes. However they're bigger than I expected. You can feel them in the mouth...a lot, and you can feel the taste of the rubber. Someone could find them useful, but I definitively prefer without.

Did Not Care for Them
I did not like them. Felt too fat in my mouth. These are for "garage" smokers who like to smoke and work on something. PC does not tell you the size to get for your pipe lip as they make 2 sizes. They really should.

Stem protectors
I love them. I put them on every pipe I smoke. They are easier on the teeth , the jaw , and the pipe, with no slip.

Testing the waters
I purchased these to slip onto my lucite stems for my missourimeerschaum cobs. They did what they were supposed to do. But, after trying them for a few days I realized that I appreciated the feel of the stem more than the rubber mouth piece. Ultimately, I tried my hand at clenching with these and realized I preferred to just hold my pipe in hand. The bits were fine other than the end where they were cut at looked a little ripped up instead of a clean cut. I think I'll end up giving the rest to my father to see what he thinks. For the price it wasn't a bad experiment.

What a difference
These are great! It's like night and day. They make the stem so much more comfortable between my teeth and eliminate teeth marks on the stem as well. I love these and buy them about ten at a time so I always have some available...

Great product
I can't speak highly enough for such a simple product! Not only does it save bits for teeth chatter, but it makes clinching a pipe pipe so much easier and enjoyable. I use them on all of my pipes!

Only lasts a year.
They do their job, and they do it well. Only complaint I can think of: after about 12-14 months the rubber starts to age (from time, temperature shifts, humidity, etc) and separates from the mouthpiece a bit, forcing you to clench harder to get a good draw. They still do their job after this, but I found that replacing them annually was simply more comfortable. At a dollar, I'll happily buy a new couple bits every year!

Softy Pipe Bit "HIGH GRADE" did not work for any of my Missouri Meerschaum Legend corn cob pipes --they were too big. They work for my Baracinni Pocket Pipe #2. I woulndn't order Softy Pipe Bit "High Grade" 2-pack again.

It's a rubber tip.
You put at the end of your pipe stem to make clenching a bit more comfortable and perhaps protect your pipe stem from teeth marks. They work well with no negative taste.

Save your pipes mouthpiece
The soft pipes mouthpiece covers work great . I do not bit a hole through the mouthpiece. They require a break in period to smooth off the edges ( 10 - 12 smokes ) The big size works great on curved pipes .

Occasionally, I need take care of something while I'm enjoying a smoke, and having the Pipe Bits keeps my Pipe Stems from looking like the dog's been chewing on them while my hands are busy :)

Old Favorite made even better !
Everyone has a pipe they've loved a long time and I'm not different. But when you've broken the stem it's almost certain to be forgotten. I've literally resurrected my 1965 Kaywoodie by using these excellent softy bits. They seal well, don't slide down the stem and allow you to enjoy your old favorite even with the broken stem tip. Thanks for the second chance P & C.

A must have for any pipe.
I was a bit skeptical on using these things but I'm glad I tried them out because I love it. Not only does it make holding your pipe with your teeth easier but it also protects your nice pipe.

Must have for you pipes
Must have for your pipes. Fits most pipes perfectly. May have to do some fabricating for MM cobs, or pipes with non-typical stems.

Greatly increases my smoking comfort while protecting my pipe stems.
Well made product. Won't smoke my pipes without a Softy Bit on it, regular or oversized. Have one for every pipe I own and keep some spares on hand as well.

Don't fit.
These don't fit on miniature pipes. They are too big.

Double the benefit
I have been buying these for 2 good reasons. One, to protect the stems on all of my new pipes as I buy them. And two, to cover up the stems of the various estate pipes that I buy. Even though I clean them when I get them I like the added layer of protection. I have grown accustomed to the size with the softies that if I smoke a pipe without one it just feels weird. A wonderful product.

No more lubricating, pushing and prying...
I have become accustomed to using rubber pipe bits on all of my pipes. So much so, it feels weird smoking a pipe without one. Until I found these oversized bits it was a real job trying to get the regular sized rubber bits on the pipes with extra wide, large bits. These do the job perfectly without having to lubricate, push and pry to get them on. They work great and last a reasonable amount of time. Luv 'em.

over sizes softy bits.
Good move. Many of my mouth pieces are wider than the standard size. I struggled mightily to get the regular size softey over the wide mouth piecses. Maybe if you put these up front as a new item people would notice them more. I didn't know you had them. A fellow member of Pipe Smokers Forum told me about them. I know they're not much but it is one more reason to buy from you guys. Best regards. Randall.

These receive a "HIGH GRADE"
I got the regular size for my Missouri Meerschaum stems. They fit perfect & work great! I got the oversized to use on my pipes with larger/wider stems. You don't have to struggle to get these on, they fit great!

Save your teeth.
I have been using these pipe bits for awhile now. They save your teeth first. Your dentist will be happy. Second these softies save your stems if you a chomper like myself. The oversized are great for your wider stems .so order a few next time you make an order.

Softy Pipe Bit, High Grade
These softy pipe bits provide more clenching security on a couple of pipes I like to smoke than I have without them, and they cushion the bit and protect not only the pipe's stem but also my teeth. I don't use them on all my pipes, but typically a pipe that is heavy. They're durable and comfortable.

Customer Testimonials
Unless you have a very small pipe you need to buy these. Hands down amazing. I like to still have my hands free while smoking, before my pipe would wobble around because I didn't want to bite down too hard. Now it doesn't move anywhere. bonus- I feel like the added space around the bit helps to give me an even better draw
Love these things, good on my teeth as soft as they are. thank you for stacking a great product. jimmy california
Whats to say? They fit my MM cobs (Missouri Pride, Eaton, Legend, and Pony Express)
Love these- there is one on nearly every pipe.
Should protect the bits on my better pipes. I don't like how the "softy bits" look, but they do make clinching more comfortable.
Went back and forth on ordering these, but should've grabbed them as soon as I saw them. Very sturdy and comfortable for clenching. Grab some and give them a try... you won't be disappointed.
This is my second time ordering a bunch of these. I put them on all of my pipes to keep from marking up the stems. They work great and are very inexpensive to keep on hand.
Works great on most pipes. If you've got a stem with a small mouthpiece, such as those found on MO Meerchaum Corncobs, then this'll fit fairly loose. That said, even for those pipe, this does the job.
Great bits, I find myself clenching and chewing on the pipe from time to time. Cracked the stem on one of my cobs from biting down too much.
These feel great in my teeth and stretched even onto my largest bits.
Bits fit over my basket pipe and custom poker. So far holding up remarkably well and allow for some solid clenching.
They make my pipe bits a bit more comfortable. I have them on each of my more weighty pipes.
These are very comfy. I'll be using them on all my pipes.
These are an excellent product. The ones carried here are for large stems, that is wide stems. Smaller stemmed pipes will need the other size, which P&C does not carry at this time. These fit 75% of the many pipes I own.
Personally, I can't get used to these pipe bits. I find it very awkward to use when trying to clench the pipe in my mouth. It also doesn't fit on pipe bits that aren't very big. For example, you will not find a single Missouri Meerschaum pipe that this fits on. It is simple too big to fit around the pipe bit. I think this is something that others may end up liking a lot, but I just can't get used to it.
These feel better in your mouth than the other ones I got. It would also seem that they don't fit as snugly on my pipes as the other ones I have, but other than that they're really very good.
Not bad at all. A little thick but then again I need to get used to it. Nice to have as one who smokes when I do things with the hands.
These things are awesome. Anyone who like to smoke their pipes hands free without worrying about teeth marks, look no further.
