4th Generation 1882 Founders Blend

This is my #1 English blend. I used to be able to get it at a store near me that stopped carrying, I'm glad P and C carries it. Some people go Nightcap, but this is my quintessential English. Very tasty Latakia comes to the forefront.

This is a great smoke. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I’m 2 bowls I to the tin as I write this. I am a relatively new pipe smoker and have been trying various types of blends. This was the first tin from 4th gen that I have opened. The only other English blends I’ve tried were Peterson’s EMP (a favorite) and C&D Haunted bookshop. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was a very smooth smoke. Creamy mouth feel. Smokey, sweeter than I expected, but just the right amount of sweetness. Great flavor, smoked really cool, nice natural tobacco flavored aftertaste. The blend is awesome and could easily make my regular rotation. Give it a try, it just might be a new favorite. I have smoked 1882 a few times since receiving it, and I must say it is pretty good, but not quite what I expected. The tin note is wonderful, but the taste while smoking is underwhelming. I didn't get any tongue bite, and it stayed lit without much effort. Overall, it was pleasant, just not enough to get me to stock up. I will finish the tin, and have fond memories of the tin note, just not the smoke.
