This sampler is actually pretty decent. For the price, the pipe smokes very well. Great cleaning utensils that come with the pipe as well. Worth it for the price.

What a deal!

Quite a deal at the price I paid. The accessories are all quite nice, the cleaners do their job, as does the nail, and the Briar Fresh does indeed do a nice job of cleaning and freshening a pipe. The Crown pipe included smokes quite well with a good sized bowl, is light, and of a convenient size. The only issue I have noticed with the pipe is it will not pass a pipe cleaner from the stem into the bowl, and the adapter may rattle a little, but for the price those are very minor quibbles.

Small but Mighty

You can't beat it for the price. The pipe cleaners are generic, but adequate. The pipe solution is very nice. The tamper is simple but works well. The description doesn't tell you what pipe this comes with, so for those that don't know, it's a crown garden walnut 108. It's a bent billiard with a walnut finish. The heavy shellac hides the grain, which is actually quite attractive. Overall the pipe is well made, looks good, comes "pre-smoked" with a cake layer in the bowl already. It is a very small pipe. Not quite a mini, but smaller than my other pipes. This took me aback with thoughts of "well it was only 15 bucks", but I decided to see how it smoked. This is where the real value of this kit shines through. Even with the smaller bowl, I still got a 45 min smoke out of this pipe, with a little left in the bowl. I think had I not run out of time, I could have gone a 50-60 min. The pipe smokes cool and easy. Almost on auto pilot, very little tamping and fussing required. Very happy with it. I would recommend this kit to anyone needing an inexpensive pipe to add to their rotation. It may be small, but smokes great and is attractive to boot.

Five stars for value. The Smoker's Pride Vanilla Cavendish is fair to middling, but the quality of the pipe was surprising for as inexpensive as this set is.
