the best also like original you should carry all the flavors in 7 ounce it would be a monster.

This has been my number one for the past 10 years. Mostly because it's readily available in my area. Love the Bourbon notes . I typically let it dry for 2 - 3 hours, burns much better, but can bite when too dry.

I've been smoking Borkum Riff Bourbon Riff Whiskey from when I first started to smoke a pipe. And that was about 40 years ago. It could be longer than that. I'm not sure. However, I have enjoyed Borkum Riff all that time. I really enjoy it. It has a great taste and has maintain that taste all through the years.

I have been using bth products for quite a few years . The Dr. grabow filters were sold in most places and were reasonably priced and did as good of a job as any others that I had used. The Borkum Riff bourbon Whiskey burns pretty cool and doesn’t burn my tongue like some other tobaccos that I have smoked.

One of my old time favorites! I am taken back with pleasant memories of previous times of enjoyment. I love to come back home to the distinctive bourbon taste of this tobacco. Normally no problems, but in this shipment one of the cans had come open during shipping and the contents spilled into the box.

This is great but I started mixing my own. Take the BR original and lay it out on foil. Put whiskey in a spray bottle and mist it down, let it dry, about 5 times. When dries put it in can and let sit a month. It makes it very fluffy and I can not tell that it leaves it any less fresh after being opened and repacked. Much better this way.

I have reviewed this product previously.... however enough can not be said about how good this tobacco is. A cool, mild, slow burning mixture of flavorful blends... Borkum certainly got this product right... with just the correct hint of bourbon to top it off... it's no wonder this item is 'out of stock' several times over the year.... if you don't try it, you're missing out...

Borkum Riff Bourbon and Natural is one of my tobaccos.

Initially I thought that I made bad choice buying this.I worked through about one half a can and then figured out how to pack and smoke it. Loose and slow works the best for me in my favorite old briar. It brings out out a nuttiness that I didn't notice before. If it gets hot, set it aside and come back. You will be much more appreciative of this.

Honestly don't love this blend other than the Room note. May have the best room note of any tobacco I have ever smoked. It was also my Grandfather's favorite blend so when I think of him I will get some out of my cellar. I recommend for room note and flavor is not bad. Be warned though it bites if burned too hot. I have gotten tongue bite multiple times from this Aromatic.

Real nice flavor

I started smoking a pipe when I was in the navy at 18. Borkum Riff was in the ships store. I liked the flavor so that's all I smoke. I'm 60 now.

I am going to give this another shot in one of my better pipes, but as of now very unimpressed. Having said that, I waited awhile before buying this tobacco as I was simply unsure of how great a product it'd be considering many of the other products I've purchased - Cult Blood Red Moon, Suttliff Vanilla and Suttliff creme brule, Cult Militia, Cult Conspiracy and many others... And to be clear I am not just about sweet aromatics, I like Cornnel & Deil Black Duck, Suttliff Crumble Kake no 2 and other non-aromatics. Something about Borkum Riff that just seemed underwhelming and bit like smoking a cigarette. I've give it another go with a proper pipe and see if the flavor and aroma change any.

Borkum Riff Whiskey has been my choice for many years. Always presents a fine fragrance, good tobacco flavor, very satisfying to me. I do not like any latica, vanilla blends. I like tobacco fragrance and BR whiskey is it. I liked BR Rum while it was made too.

This is one of my favorites, great whiskey tobacco that's aged well, burns nicely, has a good flavor balance and is consistent every time. The "room" is good with this tobacco.

Has been my choice for over 30-years. More expensive than it should be though so, for that reason, I'm always looking for a less expensive alternative. Due to the unnecessarily high price, after being a loyal customer for over 30-years, I will switch, once I find an acceptable alternative.

Not as good as I remember it, still a good flavor but not the same as I remember. My oldest pipe is 45 years old, back then the package Borkum Riff came in was not the same as it is today, nor is the flavor, but I did enjoy it with my coffee. However, I do say try it, it's still a good flavor.

Wonderful bourbon smelling tobacco. Moist to the touch, but not too moist. Mellow, smooth taste. Very little tongue bite, which is probably due to my cadence.

I smoke outdoors only, subject to the weather, thus only about 4 to 5 months of the year. This is my first time trying Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey in the 47 years I have smoked pipes. Very light Bourbon flavor at first light. No alcohol like aspect to the flavor. Flavor changes or dissipates as it is smoked down through the bowl, which I feel is common with many tobaccos. I will add this to the many (over 25 tins or pouches at this time) enjoyable smokes in my current supply.

I'm new to pipe smoking, so my palate and tobacco choices have been limited. I started out with Captain Black sample packs and it has me hooked. I ventured out and tried Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey and I didn't like it. It flavor was rather harsh. I've tried it several times and I've just not taken a fancy to it. I'll put it away and come back to it months from now and see if my taste has changed.

This is a decent smoke. Picked it up at a local shop. Firstly I’d recommend smoking this from a pipe with a smaller diameter bowl as it definitely has some bite (Probably due to the large amount of Virginia in the blend) burns hot even in my carey magic inch and I have a little trouble keeping it going as I usually do with Virginia’s. Puff slowly and be prepared for multiple relights. That being said I like the flavor of this tobacco which definitely has an very noticeable Virginia spice with a subtle whiskey flavor mostly noticeable when exhaling through the nose. The room note is great and even my wife thinks it smells wonderful. Also this tobacco came ready to smoke with zero drying necessary which is a huge plus when you are in a pinch

An aromatic with a unique taste and aroma, generally over cased and may benefit from air drying, bought this to obtain the low priced associated pipe which is sturdy but with understandably poor grain but may be fun to rusticate and it is nicely stamped with the Borkum Riff name
