If you are like me, never ever use a buffing wheel. Every time I’ve tried I send the pipe flying across the room. I saw a ad on P&C for Decatur Pipe Shield No Buff Wax. This stuff is great. Just apply a thin coat to your pipe, let it dry and wipe it off. Your done. It keeps your pipes looking their best and really shows off the grain. I even use on the stem, which keeps it looking shinny and black or whatever color. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product to any of my pipe smoking friends.

I use this polish in combination with the polishing cloth bought from "Pipes and Cigars". This wax gives my pipe a beautiful luster; it looks better than new (if such a thing is possible). Easy to use, too. Great way to both protect my pipe and show it off!

This surpassed my expectations to provide a quick polish and finish to my briar.

Does a great job, wipe on, wipe off. Cleans and polishes pipe stems well.

Used to brightened up and improve the look of some of my older briars. Small size can but a little goes a long way

Only used it a couple times. Seems to be quite easy to apply and remove. Has a decent luster and shine.

Does ad its purpose is supposed to do, I've figured to leave it on bowl to ge the shine and luster better. As always fast shipping. I'd recommend this for general polishing.

Easy to use, great results! The pipe in the picture was an estate i bought, and was well used. Toothbrush scrub with Murphys, then decatur wax and it looks great!

Product arrived a bit dry, still flavor is OK!

I have used this on two "authentic" pipes and the results are outstanding. Well worth it.

Works as advertised. Puts a nice, clean shine on the pipe. Easy to wipe on, easy to wipe off.

At first I was a bit impressed. But after using it I discovered that waxing my vintage pipes multiple times lightly after using them while still warm I was able to get a really nice shine on them. The wax is the consistency of chapstick, and with one use you will get a bit of a shine from a dull looking old pipe, but I kept using it and was surprised to get a really nice shine from it.

Great product, protects and seals from oxidation and the oil and sweat from your hands

Really nice wax. Even made my older pipes look good. Thanks allot P&C

The best I have tried. Others tend to dry out- this does not. I even use it on my stems- saves a lot of upkeep.

Puts a nice semi-gloss finish on my briar pipes. I would highly recommend this product to any smoker who wants to keep a nice sheen on his pipes.

Works as advertised, good stuff.

I don't know if it is any better than other wood cleaner polishes, but the lack of taste and smell is a great thing, for a pipe. had a relaxing afternoon just polishing pipes with it. aaaah. time for a smoke. now, which pipe?

Seems to put a nice shine on my pipes. Whatever the wax is, it's not detectable while smoking and handling the pipe. That's a nice thing.

Shines up old pipes really well. I also used it on a pipe I carved from one of the hobby blocks, and it looks great on that pipe too. It doesn't leave a glossy shine, more of a satin finish.

Good product. Brought a shine back to my 30 year old ol' Doc Grabow and a fine topcoat to my new pipes!

Great shine on the pipe and even better cleans stem to look like new!

Briar is so beautiful that it deserves to be polished from time to time. This product does a great job with ease.

Apply, wait a few minutes and while off with a soft tissue. It leaves a glow on the bowl that preserves its beauty and enriches the color and appearance of the grain. I always keep it handy when cleaning my pipes.

Works as advertised, shinty pipe is a happy pipe

I applied this to a Stanwell "Authentic" (unfinished) pipe. Bang - instant color. So good that I'm not going to do anything else to it.

I tried this on a few old Grabows to give it a try and they really popped afterwards! Very easy to use and it definitely gives briars a nice shine.

I wanted a cleaner/wax that was readily available, didn't require a buffing wheel, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Decatur Pipe Shield No-Buff Wax Pipe Cleaner fit the bill. I would recommend this product to anyone who wanted to not only maintain their pipe, but make the pipe look good.

Decatur No-Buff Wax is the only product I've used to give my pipes a subtle shine. Fairly new to pipe smoking, I didn't see a need to try other expensive and time-consuming products. I mainly use the wax to help protect the rim against charing. The pipe suffers minor wear regardless, however, the wax keeps the pipes looking decent at the least. Without it, the pipe would just have an excessive build-up of ash and grime all over it.

I’ve never used Paragon or Halcyon wax, so I can’t offer up a performance comparison. They’d have to be pretty incredible to justify their higher prices, though. Decatur Pipe Shield goes on easy with just a finger and buffs off cleanly after setting for ten minutes or so. It leaves behind an even, low gloss shine that suits my smooth pipes perfectly. That said, I’m hesitant to use it on my rusticated pieces as I’m concerned about buildup.

it does the job,but it needs some effort from my side.

1st time using a wax like this but cannot complain. I have been using this on natural finished pipes I have made with no problem. I also used on some finished pipes too. Again worked well, and strongly suggest it for a no muss, no fuss wax.

I like this wax. I use it every time I clean the pipe. I treat this wax as a maintenance wax and it serves this purpose well. I buff the pipe after the wax is semidry or dry and my pipe looks fresh and clean for the next day. I also prefer this wax from any other "miracle" concoctions I have seen. The serious company stays behind this product and this assures me enough. I also try to buy my supplies from one place - Pipes and Cigars. Prices are excellent here and service is very good!

This wax is much easier to use than the carnuba that I have used for years. Wipe it on, let it sit, then wipe off and buff

I like this wax and it does put a nice sheen on the briar I just wish it would add a little more luster. Though I will say my briars have never looked or felt so good maybe even before they where new

Recently, I purchased Decatur Pipe Shield No-Buff Wax. Initially, I was surprised at the small size of the container thinking it wouldn't last long but, as its consistency and hardness is similar to Chapstick, I'm no longer concerned. This product applies easily onto a rag, easily onto a pipe and is easily removed. I'm very diligent about cleaning my pipes after using (I also like to apply a coat of wax to a pipe when new and before using) and this product makes maintenance quick, simple and with consistent use, your pipes will be protected and always look their best. I've even had good results with rusticated pipes by applying lightly and removing quickly with no hazy/chalky residue left in the crevices. This is a very solid product. Recommended.

I was given a few old briar pipes that had seen a bit of use over the years. Wanted to clean them up & put them back into service so I went to my favorite online pipe shop and looked at what they had for such a job. The Decatur no buff pipe wax (& their stem polish) did just the trick! They were easy to apply and the finished results were that the old briars looked almost brand new! It was so easy (& kind of fun) that I went on to clean up several more old briar pipes that friends had.

I got this Decatur wax as part of a sampler months ago. Since then, I have also purchased a jar of Paragon Wax. This Decatur wax is better than nothing, but it is really inferior to Paragon Wax. This Decatur wax gives only a very mild shine and is not long lasting at all. In comparison, Paragon wax provides a much more glossy finish and lasts much longer.

Improves the look of briar slightly.

Not very impressed with this product at all. It didn't improve the luster on any of my briar pipes.

I feel like it does give the wood a shine, but only until it dries or is absorbed by the wood, then it's not as shiny. Maybe I'm applying it incorrectly, but for me it's an ok product, not a 5 star item.

I used this product on two different smooth briar pipes and did not see the result as advertised. This product did absolutely nothing to the bowl, however it did put a good shine on the acrylic stems. But my wife's Chap Stick works just as well and I know it is safe on your lips.

One 1/16-1/8th inch of this wax on your thumbnail (like mustache wax) fully coated my Savenelli billiard with a 1.5 inch tall bowl. That's all it took and after it turned hazy a 2 minute run/buff with a cotton cloth and my pipe looked better than new! It's quick, easy and the shine is still perfect after a week of smoking. With 10 pipes this small container should last a couple of years if used sparingly...but why? It's so inexpensive I'm going to use it 2-3 times a month!
Really; buy this! Restore the original beauty in your collection and preserve them as well!

this stuff is absolutely unequivocally and totally useless. terrible thing to do to a ten dollar bill. Should have burned the money, same result.

I've read the two other reviews, but I must be doing something wrong. After reading the instructions, and applying this stuff to two smooth finished pipes, I found absolutely NO noticeable difference in the shine of these pipes. The instructions ask me to apply a small amount then let stand, or "dry" for 5 or 10 minutes. I actually let them dry for considerably longer, because of some distraction, and when I came back to wipe the pipes, the surface was still wet. It didn't dry at all. Still slick (as if I had applied vaseline to them) I wiped them down and they were just as dull as before, with no shine or brightness to be had. As far a I'm concerned, this product simply DOES NOT do a thing, and I feel that I wasted $10 on these "Magic Beans"!!!

It works - cleans and shines with very little effort.
