A handsome pipe that smokes well. The bowl size is larger than its diminutive size would suggest. The rustication is wonderful, as one would expect from the likes of Tsuge.

Like the styling and appearance, no problems like others have reported, except that metal trim around stem won't release the stem until it has completely cooled down. Other than that, a really fun pope to smoke.

The pipe is made well and of good material but it is much smaller than expected.
The stem is good quality plastic but too short by an inch.
Worth $60?...probably not.

Short smoke. Smokes wet, may be a function of it's short length. Pocket size pipe. Easy to disassemble.

Nice 30 minute smoke. Small. Smokes a little wet. Easy to disassemble. May be considered a pocket pipe.

This is a good pipe for the price, the only draw back is where the stem and the pipe meet moisture will build up. I have to dry it periodically even when smoking

SMALL ,,,TINY,,,STEM FALLS OUT,,,burns hot ,,,,must wedge stem in with tissue to maintain a fit,,,poor design

As others have mentioned, this is a beautiful pipe, but due to some mechanical flaws, it's not a five star. I also had the metal ring come off the bottom after about 5 days and the stem does not fit snug either and will come loose pretty easily. It does smoke great and looks incredible, you just have to be very careful with it.

I got this pipe about two weeks ago and have smoked it just about everyday that I've had it. Havent had any issues to speak of, smokes like a dream, has a great draw. I got the sandblasted and i really enjoy the look as well. To me personally this is a qualty pipe. Would defiantly recommend to anyone interested.

Great pipe for the price. Love the finish, and has been smoking well so far. Doesn't seem too cheap at all.

The ring on the bottom of the bowl falls off. The stem gets too hot and will slide from the shank. The bowl is good briar and the stem is quality. Overall this pipe will not be one that lasts for years to come.

What an awesome pipe. I've put several bowls through this pipe and love it. I would have given it 5 stars easily, but my only complaint is that the metal ring on the bottom had some unnoticeable scratches upon delivery and the Drew Estate logo on the bottom is unreadable. I imagine that's because I ordered the sandblast finish. However, I did expect better quality astetics. I bought this pipe because it looks awesome. I'm pleasantly surprised that it smokes better than it looks. Handles heat very well and feels great in the hand and the clench. Easily my newest favorite in my pipe line up. I highly recommend it if it's your style.

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Smooth draw and after a few smokes the real flavor comes out and it's amazing.

I was disappointed in the size of this pipe. It reminded me of a toy pipe I had as a child. In the future I will pay closer attention to the item details and not just the appearance. My mistake, not P & C.

A really cool looking pipe that smokes great for the money. Got the sandblasted as a gift from my wife and I couldn't be happier! The bowl does not seem to heat up too much for me which I've seen is a minor problem for some folks. All in all I'd say if you like the looks of this go ahead and get one and enjoy a smoke in a really nice looking pipe.

The Drew Estate Tradesman smooth finish pipe is made by Tsuge of Japan. It’s tanker shaped bowl and silver colored trimmings give it an elegance that is much sought after by those who enjoy non-traditional shapes. It smokes extremely well, cool, dry and light weight. This surprised me because it has no shank to speak of, just a chrome colored fitting that screws into the bowl. I am normally suspicious of metal at the bowl of the pipe. Yet, the pipe is remarkable and quickly became one of my daily go-to pipes. I liked it so much I purchased the sandblast finish version of the same pipe.
The pipe should have been rated a 5 star pipe but for some mechanical problems I ran into almost immediately. About 10 days after receiving the pipe the decorative chrome ring at the bottom of the bowl fell off while I was loading the pipe. Happily I noticed the ring fall off and I was in my living room at the time so I could easily find it again, but what if I had been outside and had not noticed it? Three strategically placed drops of superglue fixed that problem. Then two or three days after that I noticed the bowl fell off the stem. The stem piece had contracted or the metal expanded so that the stem would not fit tightly into the metal shank piece. I applied a little heat to the stem where it fits into the metal “shank” snugly once again.
The pipe is beautiful and smokes incredibly well; I would never call it a “dog” or give it away. Were it not for the “cheapness” of the metal material I’d have given the pipe a 5-star rating. The problems were easily fixed, but they could still be problems again in the future. So, for now, it gets 4 stars. But what the hell, I have two now and am looking forward to this pipe’s next incarnation and will buy more of them.

Pipe smokes great and doesn't get to hot to hold the bowl the metal between the bowl and stem can get hot but not to bad. I have had gurgle occurre but after I have smoke half the bowl and if I get a fast pace to my smoke. All in all love the pipe plan to purchase the polished bowl next.

This is hands down my favorite pipe in my collection. Holds up great doesn't get super hot to the hands, clraner because of the nice flat bottom. I have been a Drew Estate fans for years and this pipe is just great.

I love this pipe. Great feel in the hand. Lightweight. Excellent craftsmanship and it smokes like a champ with a great draw.

Great looking pipe, but the fitment of the stem could be a bit tighter. Mine comes loose with little to no effort.

love the Tradesman Pipe; especially how you can sit it down and it does not tip.

First full disclosure; I'm a Tsuge fan and purchased two of the original Drew Estate Tsuge pipes. I think the construction and design are wonderful, and I enjoy smoking them. Needless to say when i received the email that the Tradesman was available, I literally stopped what I was doing and ordered. Received it today and I'm like a kid on Christmas day. Another nicely designed pipe, absolutely one of the lightest pipes I've ever owned. Of course it'll take a few smokes to get it "just right" but I'm enjoying a bowl of Penzance in it, and the pipe is holding its own. Another great job by the folks at Tsuge.

At 4.8 inches long and a 1.4 inch depth these seemed sort of small to me...If you purchase one, review it and let us know what you think...just wondering
