Gran Habano has made an art of aging their tobaccos and cigars to create rich, but smooth masterpieces, and this one is no exception. The Gran Habano Gran Reserva #3 2008 is highlighted by a satiny chocolate brown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper that had 8 years of age before being rolled along with a 7 year old binder, and Colombian and Nicaraguan fillers that had been resting at least 7 years. They were rolled in 2008, so these cigars will show you just how smooth and rich a well-aged cigar can be.
They're medium-bodied, but full of flavor. There's an overall earthiness with toasty notes, a current of cedar over a sweet and spicy finish. Only 1200 boxes were made of each shape, so give them a try because when they're gone, they're gone.
