Love the General, as with all my MM Corn Cobs she smokes cool and smooth. If you want a long enjoyable smoke I highly recommend The General.

In brief: I have at this moment 6 of the General bents. Each day Monday thru Saturday I smoke one all day while in my shop. Sunday you ask, well that is a day of rest on the patio with a couple of fine cigars. About once a year I have to eliminate and purchase two new ones due stem squish from clenching. This routine has been the norm for six or so years. Yes I like these, they smoke the same from fresh to extremely worn. Too bad only 5 stars are an option.

The General cob is big enough to provide a nice, long smoke, especially nice when I've settled in for a good reading session. It is a bit heavier than is usual for a cob but not too heavy to clench. The Pipes and Cigars price makes it a heck of a good value.

Very nice, at a great price.

I own two of these and am quite satisfied with them. They provide a longer smoke with their larger bowls and are extremely easy to clean and maintain. And don't let the cheap price fool you. They're very solidly made.

Love this pipe! I smoke all day so the large bowl is just what I need. When I lite this baby up I know I'm in for at least an hour to an hour and a half of smoking pleasure. Great for taking a walk or drive but great for reading or watching TV as well. Have two of them; one straight and one bent.

Nice big bowl. Smokes cool

Love the general but would love it more with a stained finish

I love this pipe. It's heavy but I cut off about an inch of the cob to make it easier to hold while smoking. Smokes so much better than the $100 pipes I bought in the past. Will buy another one.

Love this pipe - one of my favorites!

A great pipe at a great price. Nice large bowl for those who like a long smoke

It’s a great cob to modify, a solid design that can be upgraded easily to a handcrafted gem.

I love this cob. I'm a big guy and this is one pipe that doesn't get lost in my hands when I'm smoking. It's my second General purchase.

Love it for when I a. In the mood for a long relaxing smoke.

Got this pipe as a gift for my Dad and he really likes it. As you can tell by the picture it has a massive bowl capacity. Fun shape, and look, feels less practical than the other cobbs MM makes but thats subjective! Well made pipe!

It provides a nice long smoke at a nice short price.

My favorite pipe for my two-mile evening walks. I have over two racks of Petersons, Savenellis, and Turkish Meerschaums, but I still have a keen fondness for my Missouri Corn Pipes!
5 out of 5
Surprisingly light. Easy to clench. Looks good and holds a lot of tobacco. Great for a long ride in that car or an evening with a book or the tv. I have 8 other MM pipes, and I like them all, but this is my favorite.

I originally bought this for extended smoking times during fishing or similar activities.
However, the size and weight make it a bit unwieldy to clench for very long. Otherwise, the quality and smoking experience is what I'd expect from a decent cob.

The larger size of the General gives a nice long smoke. If you like cobs, these are a bargain!!

I truly love this cob pipe! I can taste the tobacco more in my unfiltered cob! Probably buy more cobs in the future!

Comfortable in hand, cool smoke.

Great smoking pipe. I have several briars, but have to say this cob actually smokes better. Holds plenty of tobacco for a long smoke as well.

The General is a great pipe for when you have some time to kill or just want to hang out with your piper buddies for a while. It has a huge bowl and it smokes great! Looks good too. I'm going to buy another one soon.

The brief, I have approximately 16 MM pipes of assorted styles, half of which are Gentlemen Bent. I have in the past smoked inexpensive to expensive pipes, all of those usually had vulcanite or Italian "?" stems, I prefer acrylic or plastic, MM is priced right, no break in time, smokes great from the start and NO VULCANITE.

This is my evening when I have nothing to do go to. Couldn’t image long evening relaxing without it now. Should be great for vacation or long drives.

A great cob pipe. Smokes cool and dry.

Well made. Holds a nice amount of tobacco. Typical MM quality.

For the price a good smoking pipe. Not my best but I have other pipes that costed 3 or 4 times more and don’t smoke as well.

I've smoked many corn cobs, in my day, but this is way beyond the typical corn cob. It is a very enjoyable pipe to smoke. Some say it looks like the pipe Gen. MacArthur smoked.

Great smoking, bit could be a little tougher for us pitbull clenchers but smokes longer than most which is great

The MM General Bent is a great little smoker, holds a generous amount of tobacco and is a steal for the price!

Pipe is large and smokes great
4 out of 5
It's a good pipe. Not my favorite pipe or even my favorite MM pipe but it is a solid pipe that gives me a lot of time to partake per bowl. It's a little on the heftier side so I don't really hang it much, if at all. But I may have a weak jaw, who knows. Anywho, I am happy with my purchase and don't regret it. That is all. Gracias.

I am new to pipe smoking but this pipe is one of my favorites I farm and I absolutely love having my General packed and ready to go if I'm going to be in a tractor for any length of time or if I am in the shop working on machinery this pipe dose not disappoint would recommend to anyone who likes a decently long smoke.

I like filling up my pipe with Erikson keystone and top that with a grill. The smoke that comes out of it is so dry and so smooth. This is the perfect size for that or chalk filters and still, have ample rooms for tobacco.
I wonder why it's always out of stock, please bring it back
5 out of 5
Although a bit heavy this is my favorite because I usually have a lot of time and this usually lasts for 1 1/2 hours. I also like the wide bowl wall.
4 out of 5
Looks way different than the photo. I thought it would have more length below the stem. Looks exactly like my diplomat with a taller chamber. Hardly get a "General" vibe from it. Black plastic stem is cheeeeaaap. It's a cheap pipe though, so what do you expect. Also had chipping around the bowl. For 9 bucks tough can't complain too much, smokes like a cob.

I particularly like the large bowl.

I'm giving it 5 stars just for the fact that all my Missouri's smoke well. I own 6 now. Only thing is, the General looks to have a little glue at the bottom side or a harding agent. Anyone else come across this?

This is my favorite of the Missouri Meerschaum pipes. It has a nice deep bowl for a good long smoke. It smokes well and is very economically priced.

I like the fact that it has such a large bowl and it smokes cool like all cob pipes.

I have loved cobs ever since I first found them. I was concerned that this would be to heavy, but I wanted a longer smoke. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. It smokes cool.I am very pleased with it.

Bought this pipe for my son, he LOVES it! The size is ideal for just chilling, long car rides or whatever, this is one of his favorite pipes.

A truly excellent smoker! Perfect for a long smoke. The bit is very comfortable on the lip. The General and my natural MacArthur are my favorite corncob pipes!

Very happy with the purchase - not any issues with the pipe at all. Like the Danish bit on the pipe and appreciate the larger size and the thicker walls. Just breaking it in and cannot wait for the warmer weather when I can really take advantage of the size of the chamber. Fits great in the hand. My third MM pipe and happy with all of them.

Yes. Buy this one. The bowl is deep and last a while. I got this because my smoke of the day is during the 45 minute drive from work to home and I needed something to last me a bit. This is it. Get it.

just received my general and omg its nice tall and just smoke some frog morton across the pond mmmmmmm good like peanut butter and jelly there a made match

I received my General bent cob pipe 3 days ago. What a delight this pipe is. I currently have 10 brier, 3 meerschaum and two pear wood pipes, but this cob is amazingly dry and cool by comparison. I starter the break in process with a three small bowls of successively larger size, and smoked the entire bowl filled with Frog Morton cellar for over an hour last night. I am definitely getting a few more cobs to put in to rotation. Why did it take me so long to get one?
4 out of 5
I like it but the cob is too tall so I end up not able smoke the bottom of the bowl. However I am really enjoying the pipe

IT WAS A GIFT FOR A COLLECTER, HE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!

I always have 12 MM pipes on line constantly. It depends on time frame as to which one I smoke. The General is my favorite for an hour or so long smoke. The Pride for a 45 min smoke an so on. MM can't be beat for price & quality of corn cob pipes.
5 out of 5
This is a great cob. I have had one previously and enjoyed it then as well. I like its large bowl size. And, after all, its a missouri meerschaum so what's not to like? Love cobs, there all I smoke! They really give burley the respect it deserves.

If you like corn cobs you ll love this one. Holds lots of tobacco. What more do you need

Pipe smokes great, good for a long relaxing sit.

The only problem I have with the pipe is that it is larger than I am used to. Besides that, it is great.
5 out of 5
well made pipe. smokes cool every time. you can't beat a corn cob from Missouri Meerschaum !
5 out of 5
Really can't add much to the other reviews. I have 28 other MM cobs. I bought this mostly for the 'fun factor'. It is 'big' and gets a little heavy, but like all of my others, it smokes cool and dry. I keep wondering why I have all of those briars.
5 out of 5
The General is awesome! Big enough for a nice long smoke yet (surprisingly) light enough to clench without causing tetanus/ lock jaw type symptoms. Sweet and dry smoke as you'd expect from a cob even after you remove and throw away the annoying, flavor stealing paper filter. For the price, buy several. They will take the abuse of being an all day/ glove compartment/ camping/ yardworking pipe without the worry associated with keeping your Dunhills, Ashton's etc. in the center console of your truck. If you're on the fence, commit. You'll love it.

For a really good smoke these can't be beat

Can't beat a good cob. And M.M. makes the best!!. This one has a tall bowl that will provide extra smoking time to enjoy. I never use filters and this pipe draws like a dream. The M.M. tobaccos are specifically designed to go with their cobs and it shows. This is a great quality pipe at a steal of a price. If I ever have to buy another I will do it without a second thought.

If I were to judge this pipe based on how much I enjoy it for $8.99 I would give it a 4.5 or 5-star review. In fact I am looking forward to smoking from it tonight. BUT the stem is so loose in the shank that it turns a little each time I put it to my mouth. Also the shape of mine is quite different. I got a shorter one with the shank closer to the bottom and the stem is hardly bent at all - but the shank is angled and the stem definitely IS bent a little.
As for the smoke, the first smoke I had from it was McClelland's Nutty Hazel from a local shop and it was the best experience I've had with the blend. It also provided the coolest driest smoke (with the filter) that I have ever experienced with any of my briar pipes.
I'm definitely ordering more Corn Cop pipes - they are GREAT!
Mine has a little bit of laquer around the edges of the bowl at the very top and a couple chunks in the bowl that I chipped out.
Lastly - I *DID* try to fix the stem by heating it up and expanding it - now it barely gets into the shank but once it gets seated it loosens up and can spin freely again. I might buy a few cheaper ones and try some experiments.

This is a very well made cob that smokes great! I have been mainly a briar smoker over the years but do pick up a cob from time to time. This is an outstanding smoker that I will get a lot of smoking pleasure from. And BTW, Pipes & Cigars service is superb! They have definitely earned my business as a new customer.
5 out of 5
Same great quality of the Country Gentleman, but with a bowl deep enough for a full shift on the water. Very Pleased.
5 out of 5
There's no mistaking your smoking a cob with this one. Its a little heavy for a clincher but for a holder like me its great. Great big bowl smokes a long time for those evenings when you just want to kick back and get lost for a while. It is well worth the money at double the price. I would (and have) recommended it to anyone.
4 out of 5
The pipe is a great smoker and hangs well too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the stem mortise became very loose after a few weeks.
5 out of 5
Man, This pipe rocks! The epitome of corn cobs! I really love its tall deep bowl. It makes C and D's Big and burley and Prince Albert that much more fun to smoke. The only complaint I have is that the stem fits a little too snugly into the pipe. However, with a little vasoline dabbed on to the end of the stem with a q-tip, I was good to go.
5 out of 5
Substantial, thick walled cob especially suitable for parfait packs, air pocket top packing and fold n stuff. Not exactly a clencher but a good/great easy chair pipe. Can't say enough good things about Pipes and Cigars who also garners 5 stars. Quite deservedly.
5 out of 5
Big smoker, nice weight. If you pack it full with a slow burner, you can smoke for days!
5 out of 5
Definitely worth the cost of admission. This pipe offers a long, cool, dry smoke.

A great smoker, mine loves virgina perique blends. It's a good pipe to smoke while working and relaxing - it does it all. And if it gets broken they're cheap and can be replaced easily! Two thumbs way up, and I will definitely order more of them! Keep on puffin yall!
