Just not for me,a little strong, didn’t like the flavor. Love the golden sliced though.

Wonderful, light smoke. "Mellow" really is the name of it. Not too overpowering, and it's delicious.

Very pleasant aroma

For me, it really is too mellow, but what do you expect with the name "mellow mixture". I just wish the sweetness of the flavors came through a little stronger on this one. The room note is great! It really smells like burnt sugar to me, which could be a bad thing for some people. I honestly don't get the vanilla or chocolate that a lot of people smell and taste. It is still pleasant though, don't get me wrong! Just not for me, or anyone who might be expecting a heavy hit of sweetness on their palette.

With the eventual extinction of the Dunhill supplies I think I'll move into this one...

When they say "Mellow", they mean it. This is a light, mellow mix of tobaccos with a slightly sweet top-note. It burns clean, doesn't bite, and tastes like tobacco. I don't know if I would smoke this on a regular basis, but I had to give it a try, and I do like it. I think I'm going to add a pinch of latakia into it and see what happens.

A nice Burley Cavandish Blend.

This was highly rated and I bought a tin. Maybe a fluke but this seemed dry and harsh. I put it in a Boveda 69% humidification bag and will let it rest for awhile. I'll try it again in a few weeks.

Tobacco a little dry, but burned nicely with nice mild flavor and room note.

It is OK, I don't really get any of the notes they state on the back of the tin. No bite though, not bad...

For me, not an everyday blend. However, if you wish to experience a Danish/European-style aromatic once in awhile this is a readily available option. From Orlik, I prefer Racing Green or Club Mixture. I'm rating it five stars because it's an excellent example of its genre.

Great smoke with wonderful flavor and room note will be staying in my supply.

Sorry, but this variety is simply too tame. I'm sort of a noob when it comes to pipe tobaccos. I've tried quite a variety of aeros and several English blends. With that "survey" as background, Orlik Mellow Mixture is just too, too tame.
It's not unpleasant! But, it also lacks a personality that you notice as you smoke it. It burns in the bowl, smoke comes out of the pipe and out of your moth, but I don't notice anything remarkable, even especially noticeable in the taste or the odor.
I will finish this tin, grateful that it is NOT a bad roll of the dice. But, I likely won't purchase it again.

One of my favorites--a pleasant smoke, nice aroma. A little harsh--but great if you take it only once in a while

I was in a coffee shop when I first opened this tin. The scent of freshly brewed coffee pervaded the air. But open opening the Mellow Mixture I was embraced by the aroma of fresh herbs and scents that reminded me of my childhood days of old fashioned candy shops. Wow, what a treat. I left my table and went immediately outside to enjoy a bowl. I was not disappointed. The flavors of caramel, fine chocolates and the richness of unadulterated tobaccos caressed my palate. I was intimately involved with the great taste of the "Mellow" mixture that I entirely forgot about my coffee. This tobacco is mellow only in its mouthfeel. It is an enriching smoking experience full of flavor and smoking pleasure.

This one surprised me. Tastes a lot like those chocolate covered cherries with some liquor in them. Except this has real tobacco flavor as well. I have smoked 1/2 a tin so far and every time I am left with the same consistent result, doesn't matter the pipe. What stands out about this tobacco is that the previous one I smoked is forgotten. This one stands out.

Orlik Mellow Mixture is very enjoyable. The Virginia and burley tobaccos meld together evenly without overpowering each other. I did not notice any chocolate or caramel notes, but the taste was smooth with an undetectable fruity attribute I could not detect. I enjoy an evening smoke and this was very satisfying.

I do not think I would call this mellow, but rich and bracing. This is a near perfect blend, smokey and very woodsy. It reminds me in aroma of roasting coffee beans. It is delightfully balanced, with neither the virginias or burleys taking the lead but working in fine harmony. The black cavendishes are not prominent in the taste but intensify the aroma.
Overall there is little sweetness but a very deep nuttiness from the combination of the toasted burley and fine black cavendish. I find it lights and burns beautifully without any relights at all for me. There is zero tongue bite. It lends itself to very slow smoking to bring out its depth. I can discern no additives or toppings but just pure highest quality tobaccos.
I enjoyed Mellow Mixture several dozens of pipes, but liked it best in a medium to large bowl.
I rank this tobacco very highly. It could well be enjoyed by a new pipe smoker or an experienced one (I've smoked only pipes for nearly 50 years). Highly recommended!!
