Pipes & Cigars - Z-Plus Pipe Lighter

I have 3 of these lighters. I really like the viewable gas receptacle. The most recent one is very tight and difficult to pull out for refills but other tan that I am pleased. My hope is that with continued use it will loosen up some. You guys have pretty much my sole sourch for my pipe and tobacco needs. Thanks

Best pipe tobacco ever...IMHO

The lighter has a nice classic look and does the job of pipe lighting very well. It goes about 10 times as long as a Zippo between refuelings with less mess or worry about flints and wicks. The price is really good too.

This is a good quality lighter. Unlike a fuel wick lighter you have to hold down the sparker lever to release the butane. I ended up giving it to a friend because I have arthritis in my thumbs/wrist. I should have thought of that. So, if you don't have issues with your hands it's a great lighter.

I enjoy the butane insert for ease of lighting a pipe, and I don't have the pocket burn from lighter fluid. Thank you for a great product,

I really like this lighter. It looks good, doesn't leak liquid fuel in your pocket as Zippos can, is compact and functions very well lighting pipes. The internals feel a bit cheap but has functioned flawlessly since I got it a few months ago. I have pipe lighters that I bought for 4 times this amount that aren't as reliable as this one. I'd definitely recommend this pipe lighter to someone looking for a good lighter.

Scotty's River Blend is my go to pipe tobacco, smooth without the bite and a satisfying blend. Along with the additional free lighter that actually works well was a great value for the price. Try some, I an sure you will be pleased with this pipe tobacco.

I have had trouble in the past finding a pipe lighter that works and now I have found a great one. I smoke outside so it is perfect for this and also holds the butane without leaking. I will buy another later one so I am never without one.

I bought this Lighter after reading the reviews, and I got just what most had to say. The lighter is cheaply made the longer I use it the harder it gets to keep working. First I use only premium butane fluid in it like I have been using for the past twelve years in my cigar Lighter. The Lighter takes on average 9 sticks if lucky to light. I rarely use outside cause the slightest breeze causes it to malfunction. I stick with wooden matches. Save your money, I would venture to say that all of the butane lighters for sale here would most likely preform as mine has. The worst part is trying to fill it with fluid, sprays everywhere. I have been using the same fluid to fill 4 on my cigar lighters which cost much more, but I have never had a problem with getting the fluid in any of them. This Lighter has been trouble from the start. I could go on, but I believe you get my point. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LIGHTER, thank you.

Takes a little experientation to get the flame just right, but settles down after a little use to become my primary lighter.

Really nice looking and does its job well.I do feel like I refill it often, but that may be due to smoking my pipes a a lot

Not a bad little lighter, not the best but for the price its pretty good. wish it was more windproof but once again... for the price its a good deal!

I'm not a diehard smoker. So, no paperwork with the lighter saying exactly what fuel it takes( obviously not Zippo fluid!), and rust on the inside doesn't make your business look good in my book. Packaging was fine as the quickness of delivery.

This lighter looks very nice but is not reliable. Sometimes it takes 10 or more clicks of ignitor to get it lit, no matter how full the fuel is. I've tried moving the butane nozzle a bit closer to the spark but it makes no difference. Save yourself $15.00 and just use a Bic.

Got one free as a bonus with purchase of a forseti pipe. Love the flame on the side and the fact that it doesn't need an adapter for the fuel cans i.e. It loads straight from the fuel can tip to lighter. Sometimes takes multiple clicks to get it to light, if it wasn't for that I would've given it 5 stars.

Since finding your website I have purchased a number of items including at least 10 pipes! The products are great and so is the service!

The title says it all really. The lighter looks nice, and the idea is great but sometimes I have to press the button 5-6 times before it will light. Still use it daily though. Came free with a Forseti pipe so I definitely can’t complain.

an ok lighter. if there is even a slight breeze, be careful. the flame can burn your thumb. trust me on this one.

This made for a really nice pipe lighter -- for a while, but then . . . the same thing happened that I've seen happen with every other butane refillable lighter I've ever bought (of all types, including barbecue lighters). The seals don't last. It seemed like I was having to refill it more often, and then just a few days ago I decided to stop trying to use it when I found it completely empty just the day after I had refilled it.

Feels like a zippo, functions like a butane

A terrific soft flame pipe lighter that looks awesome and works flawlessly, all at a price that beats the competition. The retro-look "Pipes & Cigars" logo plus the "street" copper case (similar to Zippo's street chrome, but in copper) is unique and really pops. The Z-Plus insert fits the case just right and has never failed me in years of use. The flame is fully adjustable. Be sure to follow the instructions that are included and purge the lighter when you fill or refill it. I use Xikar (triple refined) butane, available from P&C at a great price, and no adapter is required to fill the lighter. In the rare instance that you receive a lighter that doesn't work right, don,t despair. Contact P&C's Customer Service and they will make it right without any effort on your part except a phone call.

Just an okay lighter. Case looks like a Zippo, but it is not as sturdy as a Zippo. Should do alright. At least it won't dry up like a naphtha fueled lighter.

I agree with another reviewer: it burns your thumb. Unlike a zippo, which you can light and move your thumb away from the flame, you've got to keep your thumb on the ignitor to keep the z-plus lit -- and it's right next to the flame. Design flaw.

The tobacco that was ordered has a sever “tongue bite.” The lighter’s flame is centered such that if not careful it will burn your finger!

The Z-PLUS pipe lighter works great. Nice soft flame refillable. No complaints at all. Looks good too.

Great pipe, just as expected. BEST part is that it was prompt, which is always a concern when you are ordering from overseas with an APO address. Throwing in a lighter was pretty great too.

The Z-plus lighter is terrific!! Lights easily, Flame adjusts correctly, and it simply looks good. Now time will tell, we all know pipe lighters tend to start off great and go downhill quickly. We will see, but so far it is great!!!

To light pipe you have to hold horizonally and it get very hot on your fingers

Great lighter! I've had others & they fit sloppy in their case. This one is nice & tight. As with all new butane lighters, bleed the air before filling (& refilling), then you'll never have a problem with the lighter. Also, love the clear tank! GREAT lighter & GREAT company!!!!! Smoke Up!!

I am very happy with the lighters. There very good at the price I bought for them. Good quality, I love the color red. A can of butane lasts me a month, I love that! I bought two of these lighters, use them both and they are safe to use. For the price I think I did the right thing for a first time user of this kind of lighter

great lighter and the case looks great....one small problem though. the hinge on the case seems loose. keeps the top from snapping closed

I got this lighter free with my order so I really didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it fits in my Zippo enclosures. It takes butane rather than lighter fluid but is easy to fill and seems to last a long time. It produces a nice soft flame that is adjustable. The flame comes out sideways to accommodate pipes. I really like it and hope it lasts a long time.

Filled and played with +/- and doesn't work at all. Got a flame once. Would not buy.

The pipes I recently purchased are beautiful and great I almost did not want to smoke them they are so nice, but I went ahead and smoked them the pipes were so smooth and pleasant to smoke. I have enjoyed them very much , I will be purchasing more pipes in the future thank you very much for such fine pipes.
