It is a great blend for a great price! The flavor profile is definitely between a lighter English blend with a subtle smokiness and a creamy mid-pallate.Burns quite evenly. Great start if you are just getting into English blends. A great value for the money!

Surprisingly good considering the almost complete lack of Latakia. And it’s dirt cheap.

Pretty good smoke for the price. Switching between Half and half and this. Very similar to John Bull, but cheaper.

SURPRIZE SURPRISE...A VERY GOOD, TOP TIER BRIT TYPE TABAC, AS WELL, AS GOOD/BETTER THAN A NUMBER OF EXPENSIVE TIN TYPES [NOT THE PHOTOS, THE ENGLISH STYLE BLENDS FLOODING OUR MARKETPLACE]

Great morning starter. A cup of coffee in hand and a bowl of this makes a good start to my day. Price is right . Trying this one was a good choice for me.

This is a relatively light English blend that I can enjoy all day; can't be beat for the price.

Not my favorite english blend, but it surprised me regardless. I took to using it as a mixer in order to make my more loved blends go a little farther and it seems to work for that

In the pouch, it smells like a pine bonfire on a dark night - abstract enough? But it really does smell like a campfire, thanks to our friend Latakia. It isn't extremely overpowering in the flavor.
This is my first experience with an English, and with Latakia. I found it to be quite pleasant, since I love smoky everything, Scotch included. It smells even better than the Wild Atlantic and John Bull I also bought, though I have not smoked those yet.

The tobacco has just too little "mouth" fullness or taste for me. I bought it because P&C was out of one English blend of Sutliff. I tend not to buy expensive blends -- too cheap I guess. So, I recommend the Sutliff Medium English or Majestic English blends that if you want a good taste at a very reasonable price.

For decades now, I've been searching for something near to the blend I once was able to get from Vottis Pipe Shop in Schenectady, NY when I was stationed at the Captain of the Port of Albany. All I can remember is that it was one of Mr. Vottis' "English" blends. This Super Value English Mixture is pretty nice, but I guess the search goes on.
One of the most memorable characteristics I remember of Mr. Vottis' English blend that I liked was that between first lighting the pipe and when it was fully going, the smoke from it held the distinct "cachet" of dish soap. Then it settled down to a very nice smoke.

A good smoke for the price. Comparable to a good Dunhill.

Excellent favor which good and hardy. A smooth smoke which did brother my throat. I wish it could have been in the 12oz bad instead of the pouch.

I bought two of the starter kits and was disappointed that I received identical pipes one that was depicted and I also wanted the other rustic look. Out of all the tobaccos my favorite is Captain Black original, the lighter works great and I am fond of the Stanwell taper pipe cleaners.

After trying and enjoying other value brand tobacco's I decided to give this a try. I was very pleased with it and will be ordering more in the future.

Great intro into English blends. Quite pleasant, nice aroma, burn and flavor. Might be a bit light for English connoisseurs, but a good beginning for Burley lovers wanting to explore English blends. I prefer a blend with a strong presence of Latakia, but this isn't bad with a cup of coffee early in the morning. Just bought the 1lb bag of My Mixture 965,hence it might be a while before re buying SVEB. Good stuff.

I have smoked pipe for 45 of my 77 years. Smoked several different brands over the years. This was my first try at an English type tobacco. LOVED it!!! Smooth, even burning, no bit, just a very pleasing smoke. Does SuperValue have the English Mixture in the larger bag??? Great Smoke will be ordering more. Lee

I purchased 2 pouches of Super Value English Mixture based on a review by JimInks. This is a really pleasant mild/med English that smokes cool and to me the flavor has been consistent throughout the bowl. There is nothing complex about this smoke when compared to so many other English offerings, but, if you are looking for a good smoke that is friendly on the wallet give this a try. For it's price point, if you do not like it the cost is minimal. I will order more of this for sure just for those times when I want an English blend but don't want to be over whelmed with latakia. This has a straight forward flavor with no surprises, but I was not disappointed at all with it.

For an English blend, I liked it, but I'm not big into the English stuff. It's not as dry as some other's like a Peter St. Proper English, but it's not to wet either, so you won't have to relight it much, if at all. Besides the Proper English, I'd also recommend Cornell & Diehl Tuggle Hall which is similar but has some Perique which gives some spiciness. If you like this, you can stick with it or try others. Overall I like the Super Value products in general. You can mix 50:50 their Super Value Black Cavendish with just about any of their other flavors for something extra. I've tried their Chocolate and like it on its own or with their B.C. Amaretto is good too and I'm waiting to try their Peach. I wish they had the Peach in something smaller than 12 oz to try.
