Very good tobacco

I was looking for a blend which was a change from the flavored tobaccos I had been smoking. I wanted one which was pleasant smelling (I do smoke in the house) and was smooth smoking. I tend to cavenish blends -- I have not liked the things I have tried with burley in them. I like both the Ultra and the new English blend. They are considerably cheaper than the "name brand" tobaccos. Super Value lives up to its name!

Nice aroma off the pouch, vanilla and chocolate. Mild strength, no bite. But as some other reviewers noted, too moist. The best way to smoke this is to mix it, in equal parts, with some dry bulk tobacco you may buy here occasionally.

This is a Super Value pipe tobacco. I love it.

This tobacco is mellow and smooth. Its great on its own, or you can use it in blends that need a bit of mellowness.

Unless doing something wrong. Took awhile to lite, bitter taste, harsh smoke. Wont buy it again. Threw it in garbage.

Mild and has good favor with a good price

Very strange. I originally ordered the 1.5 ounce. It was truthfully quite smokable. Good enough I ordered the 12 ounce bag. When it arrived I noted the bag said "Ultra" and not "Ultra Mild." I chalked it up to a change in packaging. When I opened it there was a note of...?...vanilla? Okay, no problem. This time, however, i was too moist to smoke. I did a variety of packing methods figuring it was me. No luck. After the char light it was three puffs, relight. Okay, time to dry it out. Dumped it in an old Carter Hall tub and left the lid off. No luck. It just doesn't seem to want to part with it's moisture. For the first time in 40+ years I am stuck with a pipe tobacco that does not "taste" bad at all, but is not smokable. I am going to assume it was either me or a glitch in the blend and go with three stars.

It is what the name says, mild, smooth, easy.

Good packaging. I had to dry out tobacco as it was a moist than I prefer. I usually blend this with captain black gold.

Smooth, less acid when burning. Easy to light, stays lit, seems to be less smoke when burning also.

When Granger raised their price (again, this time by going from 14 oz to 12 at the same price), I tried a number of number of other offerings. I had smoked Granger for over 40 years, but find Super Value Ultra Mild to be my new brand. Although it is cheaper, had I tried it earlier, I would have switched upon trying it.

As stated the tobacco is Mild and without bite. Always fresh

I've tried Lane's and Sutliff's version of no bite burley. This is as good or better than either one of those. When you figure in the price it is definitely a good buy. Smoke it slow and easy for a relaxing evening. I love burley and smoke it all the time. This is as good as any of the big names and at a better price.
