The mad scientists at Drew Estate have revolutionized cigar blending with their wildly popular Acid cigars. Their unique infusion process gives Acid cigars flavors unlike anything else you can smoke. Each smoke begins with a top-notch premium tobacco blend and impeccable construction. Then the infusion process takes over to transform these cigars into the flavor-bombs that have captivated a generation of smokers.
Acid Kuba Kuba cigars.......what the hell can be said about them then what the gentleman said in a earlier review. Delightful aroma, taste that is divine, smoke that is gentle and mild but if you let it, and believe me you will, will trick your belly into being hungry and you might need a snack after smoking. Paired with a hot, strong cup of coffee and a nice beautiful day on the front porch and this cigar comes to be the creme de le creme of cigars. My Valhalla. And every time I get them in a sampler I savor every last puff like it might be my last. If ever on death row, this will be part of my final meal.
Absolutely love these. Couple of them I wasn't to big of a fan. But most have an excellent taste, smooth hit, and a sweet after taste to the lips. I first had a Blondie from a local shop. Loved it, knew I should try the pack. Seen it at a local Cigar shop (not plain ol smoke shop) and it was full price! Must get it here !!!
Drew Estate came out with the ACID brand in 1999, and with the tenacity and never-give-up attitude that makes greatness, the brand has risen to the top of the smoking world. Different, unique, crazy, unexpected...these words exemplify the Drew Estate ACID brand. Add consistency, quality and unparalleled taste, and you have an accurate portrayal in words of what's in store for the smoker who picks up one of these amazing sticks. My first ACID was the Sumatra-wrapped Kuba Kuba Robusto, a five-inch, fifty-four gauge stick of mad-scientist mystery. From the moment the wrapper came off, I couldn't get my nose off of it; the scents were confusing, intricate and extremely complex. I couldn't decide if it was pepper, honey, exotic spices or WHAT...but something in there was really fascinating. I immediately had to stick it in my mouth, and of course, the sweetened cap just fueled my curiosity more. After a good toasting to the foot, I began to draw. Being a first round, I decided to punch this baby, and was pleasantly surprised by the draw. Off the bat, the complexity nearly blew me off my feet. Strong, yet somehow just right, my palate was reeling in a few seconds, trying to catch up to each new taste as it came on; a nutty almond, an almost cinnamon note, curry, maple, even a stripe of maple through it. As I smoked on, a distinctly leather taste came up, mixed with a creamy vanilla taste. The second third of the smoke needed a resuscitation, but recovered quickly. Bolder than the first third, it still wasn't overpowering. By the last third though, the true power of ACID's Kuba Kuba came through, but did it without knocking me on my duff. Each ACID experience is truly unique, I can only say that. But, it's a great experience, one that definitely leaves an impression. Whatever ACID is doing, I hope they don't change a thing-uniqueness and surprise are something the cigar world needs.
