Amati

When you think about hand-rolled, long-filler cigars from the Dominican Republic with a genuine US grown Connecticut Shade wrapper, what's the first thing you think of?  Smooth, creamy, leathery, hints of pepper. What's the second thing you think of? The price! Many of the cigars that fall into this category are seven or eight bucks a stick, or even a lot more.

Enter Amati. This brand was created with one idea in mind - to create the absolute best value you've ever had in a premium cigar. Think about what you have here. A beautiful blonde wrapper surrounding Dominican long-filler that smokes as well as many of the "big boys" for as low as a buck and a half each.

How did we do it? We were able to get our hands on some great tobaccos at a ridiculous price, and we kept the box simple - that's right, a box, not a bundle. Then we decided to forgo expensive advertising, so we pass along the savings to you. They won't last forever, so stock up the coolerdor now before these go away.

Amati
This is my second order for these cigars. I even ordered a box for a friend who thought they were a good smoke also. For the price, it's hard to beat them.

amati robusto cigars
Not to bad a cigar, but (there is always a but). I found them to be rolled so tight that they are very hard to smoke. A real tough time to get a decent draw. At first, I didn't like the taste, however, after about the third cigar over a period of a week, they seemed to mellow out. Not sure if I would go back to these as I prefer a more mellow smoke.

UNSMOKABLE!!!
these cigars give a new meaning to the word stick. The tobacco is so poorly cut and tightly rolled that I threw out almost half the box because I could not draw on them. A visual inspection and you could see large yellow veins and stems wrapped in the shaft. Those I could puff, with a strain on my mouth, left a harsh aftertaste. while the churchills were pleasant, the robustos were a waste of time and money.

Like the Little Girl With the Little Curl
When these cigars are good, they are, well, good. Unfortunately, far too many of them are badly rolled, and that ruins the flavor and the total smoking experience. The first one out of the box was a mix of tight constrictions and squishy soft spots. I considered returning them, but gave them another try. The next one was good. Since then, the hit to miss ratio has been about 50%. I would not purchase Amati cigars again.
