Few new boutique brands have had quite the impact of Balmoral, and Balmoral Anejo XO shows exactly why.
These gems are made i the San Pedro de Macoris factory in the Dominican Republic which is owned by the 4th generation CEO of Royal Agio cigars. They only use the top 5% of the tobacco available to them, and it this case it begins with a gorgeous 10-year vintage Brazilian Aripiraca wrapper, the same kind used on some other very popular cigars. The binder is Dominican Olor, and the long-fillers consist of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian Mata Norte. The construction is spot-on, and the flavor is medium to full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, cedar, a bit of coffee, nutmeg, and allspice, with a slightly sweet finish. When you have the time to really enjoy a fine cigar, Balmoral Anejo XO would be an excellent choice.
