Is this a "great" tobacco? No. It's a good one. It's the only tobacco I always keep on hand. Smokers pride is the Cheerios or Mini-Wheats of pipe tobacco. Simple, cheap, reliable, pleasant. This is the tobacco you stick in a pouch and keep in your backpocket for breaks at work. And for that, it's very nearly perfect.

Adds nice room note to mixes. Needs a slightly loose pack to smoke by itself. Can't beat the price and it doesn't have that "Nyquil" after taste that some of the more famous blends present.

IN MY OPINION -- this is a truly mild aromatic tobacco. Strong, mellow fragrance, easy draw, and good flavor. This has been my "go-to" for 3 years, and I have no reason to change, yet.

Always had much less cherry flavor than smokers pride. So the brawl never started. Having said that, its a good smoke nonetheless, with more of a subtle cherry flavor that builds. Like a homemade cobbler. Out of dozen or so tobaccos that I really smoke often, this is one the Mrs always recognizes, in whatever order, and says is one of her favorites. Clearly adjust the moisture as needed.

A solid budget cherry blend that competes very well with high end cherry's. You have to try it. Don't write it off out of hand.

Very good tobacco. Flavor is more mild than I was hoping for but it is much better than some of the tins I have tried, like Cherry Bomb that completely bombed. Best deal there is.

it does not bite like some pipe tobacos do

I have always *wanted* to like a cherry flavored tobacco, but the word "bite" has always come to mind - with the exception og Lane TK-6. UNTIL I bought a bag of Smoker's Pride Cherry. Unlike the barely perceptible cherry in TK-6, SP just hits you right in the face with full on cherry scent when you open it up. Thinking "THIS does NOT bode well for bite", I forged ahead. No bite at first, but I was anticipating it. Halfway through, not a nibble. Down to fine ash and still a mild, soothing experience. Three bowls that day, and nary a nip to be had. What a great smoke for a tremendous value! I have yet to have a SP blend that wasn't "good" (and I have now tried them all), but this one is exceptional. Oh, and the room note is highly pleasing as well!

P&C always does a good job getting my orders out, their only mistake is giving it to USPS. Apparently the post office they use doesn't know NYS borders to the north. They send it to N.J. then another N.J then to Ohio then back to Pa. then to NY. The last order was even better, no tracking for a week and then the update, it's in Indiana! about 4 days later without updates it shows up. P & C shipping dept. Please put a note on my order letting the post office know NY is at their north border.

IT IS A GREAT SMOKE AND HAS A GREAT FLAVOR LOVE IT

I find the Super Value Cherry Cavendish to be decent. It burns well. It has a mild aroma that's all right. The smoke doesn't have an aroma. The flavor is fine. It's not cut finely as other pipe tobaccos but that does not matter much. Its moist but still lights well. I'm pleased with the purchase and reccomend it.

I use Smokers Pride Whiskey and Smokers Pride Cherry to make my own blend. The mixture makes a nice smoking blend with a pleasant aroma and very little bite. I've gotten quite a few complements on the aroma.

This is a great tobacco. It burns well and keeps lit for a long time. Smoker's Pride gives me a smooth, delightful smoke every time.

It's excellent! Tried several brands out before I settled for this brand.

This is made by one of the most respected blending houses in the industry. Lane Limited LTD. This is high quality tobacco leaf with a great flavor. The blend is Burley based with some Virginia and Cavendished Burley. The topping is applied with a light hand. A very nice finish with an old fashioned flavor and room note. There is absolutely no bite in this blend. The price is excellent also! I am not really a fan of cherry blends. Captain Black Cherry is just too much for me. But this and TK-6 another Lane bulk blend are beautifully crafted. If you like 1970s type aromatics and want to relive your youth of smelling comfy pipe tobacco and reminiscing of uncles and grandfather's, this and SP Vanilla Cavendish is the way to go.

Ok so far but still a little too moist. Need to dry it out a little prior to use. Good until the mositure builds up at the bottom of the bowl.

When carter hall was not available i looked for a substitute. I tried several brands, then I tried smokers pride brand and really liked the cherry best of all of them. A great all-day smoke with great room note and very mild. Been buying ever since from pipes and cigars.

Not much of a bite, just the way I like it. I mix it as a blend with other tobaccos and it adds a great smell and the result is a smooth smoke

It is pretty good for the price that I paid.

I used to smoke Troost Slices. After the embargo I found Lanes Golden sliced cavendish a suitable replacement. It came in a white box with a golden foil wrapping. The non aromatic aromas of these were pleasing to others. Apparently Lanes golden slices is no longer available. Any other tobacco is at most a three star. I don't like tobaccos that leave an after taste in my mouth. Who needs an aromatic tobacco? The pleasure is in the smoking. If you smoked it you probably can't smell it, but the smell remains in your clothes and in your surroundings. Smoking may be a disgusting habit, but that's no reason to stop.

I have been a pipe smoker off and on for the past almost 50 years. I have smoked just about every non-aromatic there is in addition to just about every kind of cigar there is. I got out my pipe collection recently having put it away for the past several years. I decided to try Smoker's Pride more on a whim than anything else. I am pleasantly surprised as to just how good this aromatic is. You can't beat the price and for your money, if you are looking for a good aromatic you need to look no further It really is that good!

Smokers Pride Cherry burns well. The quality could be better. I find bits & chips of wood in my tobacco. I like the flavor but always believe there could always be some more cherry flavor.

I mix the cherry and the black Cavendish together for a blend that I call black cherry. It's my favorite.
