This is a blend of different Oriental leaf which is very useful as a blending component. It has a brighter, cleaner flavor and aroma than many of the strains that are usually labeled “Turkish”. It’s an absolutely amazing companion for Latakia.
I use the Turkish Ribbon for blending with Burley to adjust the flavor to my liking. Not harsh, but distinctive.

Nice Surprise

New to blending, but ordered 9 components. This was back ordered at the time. When it arrived I loaded a pipe full of it and tried it. The sweetness was a surprise. With a pouch aroma of licorice (?), it was destined to be mixed with Virginias, toss in some Oriental for spice, and top with Latakia I'm on my way to a good "English" Blend.

Did the Job

I had a blend that just wasn't up the task of being smokable. Then I put about 2 oz's of this stuff in there and it's become one of my favorite smokes. It provided a smooth lightly sweet taste that I find in some of the other blends that I like, and it saved me from having to throw out my tobacco.

Cigarette taste and bad breath smell. Decent taste but a good amount of bite. Cooks really well. I'd use in small amounts for blending.
