Blending - Cube Cut

Blending - Cube Cut starts as medium-dark Burley that's pressed and then cut into relatively small nuggets. This makes for a slow-burning tobacco that features a nutty flavor with notes of cocoa and molasses that can be enjoyed on its own, but can be used to slow the burn rate of a blend. Packing is easy with cube cut tobaccos. Just gravity feed the cube cut into the chamber, give it a light tamp, and you're good to go.

The best blending tobacco! Mellow and flavorful, with no bite!

The Cube Cut
I blend my own. This burley is excellent in every way. Earthy, musty, and nutty sweet. No rough edges and burns slow. I also rub out the cubes in some blends and it seems a little sweeter and I enjoy that. I’m a burley aficionado and this burley checks off all of the boxes for me. This blend can be smoked on its own and it tastes great !

Good blender...not a solo smoker
Got it to try as a solo and compared it to two others. As a blender, it positively enhances both Prince Albert and Half&Half. Adding about 1/3 in volume, it mellows the flavor and slows the burning rate of two of my favorite every day smokes. The cube cut keeps it away from adding to ribbon just doesn’t stay mixed in well so most of my favorite English blends won’t see this one. As a solo smoker, it got beaten by C&D cube cut Burley which is apparently intended for such. It’s also a good blender but with a smaller cube size. As a solo, packing, lighting and puffing requires several relights and doesn’t hit me with much flavor or aroma. I’ve been a Burley smoker since 1968 and still miss my favorite which was a Missouri grown and processed Cube Cut Burley from Jon’s in Clayton, MO...back a long time ago. The four star rating only considers one down side and that’s solo smoking it. Otherwise, an excellent blender when mixed and given two or three days to marry with my OTC faves.

cube cut BG9
Large bulky cubes so bring a large chamber. May appear dry, but, it's not. Elevated nicotine in the 3.5 range, while not being crazy with nicotine, it is up there. Burns medium. Overall impression, more bitter than sour. Usually I just smoke these straight out of the bag, this one doesn't do it for me though. Actual score 3 stars. 4th star added because it's available and may be part of someones masterpiece.
