A mild smoke with a fresh clean taste of mown hay with a sweet undertone reminiscent of figs and rounded out nicely with the peppery notes of the Perique. Smoke this one gently as it can run hot.

First time trying briar works tobacco. I went with the back south in my new dagner cob. And I enjoyed every pipe full till it was gone. They really need bigger jars ! Two ounces is not enough to last a week. So I will be trying their other flavors and ordering more of the same. 😎

The best Briar works so far but that's not saying much

This is my third review of a Briar Works tobacco and I have decided I will not be buying anything else from them. For me, this one is too hot and I'm smoking/sipping this out of Falcon pipe. If I'm getting tongue bite when smoking out of a shire or a falcon then you tobacco burns way too hot. Taste wise this one is my favorite (the other 2 where peach cob and sweet tea) This gives you a thick but mellow sour note but nothing else. The bottom line is briar works is all too hot and the taste profiles are shallow and boring. This is not a tobacco for me.

This is my first experience with a VaPer tobacco, and I love it. The taste is very smooth with medium strength, and the smoke isn't hot on the tongue or roof of the mouth. My biggest issue is keeping it lit. It came pretty moist and the ribbon cut is super thick which both make it hard to keep lit. I'm a rookie at pipe smoking, so maybe I'm missing something with the cut of the tobacco, but I haven't seen any other tobacco like it.
