Brigadier Black Bull Run pipe tobacco is blend of black Cavendish and golden Burleys. It's silky smooth with just a hint of Vanilla for your enjoyment as well as those around you. Born of some of the most sought after vanilla pipe tobacco in the world, this is a must try if you’re a vanilla fan. For a smooth and mellow experience, Brigadier Black Bull Run is a must-try.
Very pleasant tin note upon opening. It has a light vanilla taste, not overwhelming, but the room note is distinctly vanilla. No bite, suitable for all day. Good cheap smoke.
Wow this stuff is amazing. I open the can all the time just to smell the tantalizing mixture but wait till you smell it burn. Absolutely outstanding in every way. You cannot go wrong here.
Ordered some last fall. Opened it May 23. Although I am not a fan of most aromatic blends, the tin note was very pleasant. The tobacco tasted good. To me it was a nice dry smoke, did not burn hot or bite or require relighting. This blend is heading for the top of my rotation. Good stuff and nice price.
Great tobacco. Buying another pound. Smokes great in a wide Trevi.
Very nice vanilla flavor, did not burn hot at all. Flavor was not overpowering at all. Reminded me of the local B&M house type blend. Room note was very pleasant. For a basic vanilla aromatic, no complaints. However, I think that Mac Baren Vanilla is a better taste and room note.......but for the price, this is very good smoke
I just received my tin of Bull Run moments ago in the mail, and like a little kid at Christmas, I cracked it open. At first whiff, it smells pretty nice. So I loaded my pipe and lit the chimney. After reading the description, I was expecting a bit more of a Vinilla flavor - couldn't really pick up on any whatsoever. Also, there is a bit more bite than I'm used to...it's kinda harsh. It's not the worst I've ever smoked, but I will go back to my Captain Black without hesitation after the tin is empty.
This turned into my new favorite tobacco, it has a beautiful tin aroma and tastes very good.
Very good aromatic at a great value will be stocking up on this.
My main sin has been alteranting pinch-pack of Frog Morton Cellar & SPS Molto Dolce, starting with the Cellar (which is dryer) to catch the moisture leaching from the Molto Dolce. This Frankenstein blend gives me a good smoke with a lot going on. I've been wanting to try the Brigadier Blacks for a while and I finally went with the Bull Run. It has a sort of velvety taste - Imagine a 50/50 mix of vanilla & chocolate pudding. I'm not disappointed. Packs good and burn evenly. Only one ash purge and spike it before the relight (after the initial ... & tap) usually is all that's necessary. However, it burns and smokes quick, too quick = almost like smoking a cigarette. I've been using my MO Meerschaum Ozark Hardwood Cherry Bent, filtered, w/Danish Replacement Stem. I found that I get a better, longer smoke in my MO Meerschaum Country Gentleman, unfiltered, w/Walker Briar Works 4-3/4” Mini Churchwarden Stem. TL/DR = This is some good stuff!
Very nice tobacco at a reasonable price.
A nice blend that is similar to the Alamo blend, but a little sweeter. Good stuff!
