Our Brigadier Black pipe tobaccos (exclusive to PipesandCigars.com) were intended to be a short-run, limited edition. Your response was so great that we had to arrange for it to become a regular item. These tasty and affordable aromatics have really caught on, so we're giving you the chance to try them all at an even bigger savings.
The Brigadier Black Pipe Tobacco Sampler includes:
(1) 8oz tin Brigadier Black Waterloo
(1) 8oz tin Brigadier Black Alamo
(1) 8oz tin Brigadier Black Bull Run
(1) 8oz tin Brigadier Black Gettysburg
Alamo was very good mild and nice draw. The other three were too much alike. I will buy more of the Alamo when needed.
The Brigadier brand is all soft, pleasant, and a joy to smoke.
These tobaccos are a great value. Each one has it's own smooth flavor without bite. I am really enjoying the Gettysburg very mild great flavor and loads of smoke. It burns well inside the chamber and stays lit even when moist. I have a few old Kaywoodies and these blends smoke excellent in my pipes. I would highly recomend this sampler.
OK - I took a chance and ordered this. Wow - what a pleasant surprise. The Bull Run and Gettysburg were phenomenal. Alamo - not bad and hopefully I will warm up to the Waterloo. I hope you can continue getting these as a least two will make it into my regular rotation.
They are all (4) fantastic tobaccos. But Gettysburg stands out for me as one of my top favorites now. I bought the lot the last time they were on sale and it was a monumental price for so much good tobacco. The aromas out of the tin are fantastic with Gettysburg just coming out a huge winner. Can't go wrong with this combo purchase.
Cyber Monday Special!!! I bought three of these samplers for $39.95 a piece on Cyber Monday 2013. Let me be the first to say, I was not disappointed. They are all top quality tobaccos for the price. Where else can you find two pounds of tinned tobacco for for less than $40 bucks other than Pipes & Cigars? I think that Brigadier Black is manufactured in the same factory as Peter Stokkebye or Newminster. I may be wrong, but I doubt it. If I am wrong, my apologizes to Russ and Trish. I can't wait for the next Cyber Monday!
I've been smoking/enjoying Captain Black for a while but decided to try something different and ordered this sampler when it was on special. The Alamo was smooth, just an okay smoke, but has a lot of humectant which I'm not too happy about. Gettysburg is kinda fruity with a nice aroma and I think I'm going to like it better although it has humectant also. Haven't tried the other two, but sure they'll smoke okay. I just have to clean/rest/dry my pipes more often. Good value at the price I paid.
