Brigadier Black Waterloo pipe tobacco is a fine blend of Golden Burleys with a subtle top-note to produce an almost natural vanilla flavor profile. This tobacco is a delightfully aromatic, soft, and exceptional smoke. For those looking for a sweet and mellow anytime smoke, this one will become an instant favorite. Perfect as an all-day blend, Brigadier Black Waterloo is an affordable, mellow choice.
If you like burley and I do you will love this stuff. The aroma and the smoke are outstanding. It is also smooth, creamy and bite free. IMO the Brigadier Black series is the best pipe tobacco on the market for everyday smoking.
I liked this blend, and it has a very nice aroma. It will come fairly wet, so I would recommend letting it set out for a little bit to help dry it out. This needs to be a slow smoke otherwise it will get rather warm and "goopy" I has zero problems with goop'ing, but can see the potential. If you need a compare, this reminds me of a Captain Black variety, but better.
Upon opening I noticed a pleasant vanilla note. The tin I received was very wet. My first smoke was hot with a little bite. I tried 2 different methods, first was to dry some out before I smoke it and the other was to mix some with BCA. Both experiments turned out well, but I think this tobacco will stand alone better after it sits for a while. More to come...
Cant say much good --tried 3 different cob pipes and could not make it burn--extremely wet. I had to dig it out of can to put into a larger container
A nice golden Burley blend that's pretty good. Reminds me of Captain Black Gold.
