Brigham Black Satin Pipes

Rusticated pipes feel good in the hand, but some, let's face it, are ugly. Not the Brigham Black Satin Pipes. These briars have a subtle wire-brushed black finish that's attractive and nice to the touch. The brilliant black acrylic stems are the perfect accent and will deliver years upon years of steady use. These pipes, like all Brighams, accept their rock maple filters which reduce moisture and tongue bite while still allowing you to pass a pipe cleaner. Best of all, Brigham Black Satin Pipes are among the most affordable lines they've ever made.

Want another Brigham now .
For me at least at this price point it renders the Crown pipes pointless . The Brigham is just hands down a better value for the money IMO .

Great pipe. I bought the Brigham satin black 35 as my second pipe and my first from Brigham . The pipe smokes cool and dry just as they claim thanks to the rock maple insert and I will be looking to add more pipes from Brigham to my collection .

Part of the rotation!
Bought this as an experiment. Typically don't use filtered pipes but i was curious about the Brigham System. This is now in my regular rotation. The rock maple filter really does take out the bite and give you a dry smoke! I only wish i had bought 2. Keeping an eye out for when they go on sale.

Nice pipe
It's a good size. The bowl absorbs heat without getting hot despite how thin it feels. Beautiful russification. Natural Wood grain without being unfinished. Do stock up on Brigham filters.

Great pipe for the price
Love the aesthetic of this pipe and the rock maple filter system. However the draw was restricted a bit from the base of the stem, so being the tinkerer I am a cut off about a 3/8” piece of the plastic tip and it draws so much better now.

Mixed feelings
Stem is to thin on top, don't see it lasting too long. Overall a nice looking pipe it smokes well and I like the feel in hand. Just think the stem was made wrong, you can see light through the top. The price was low, might be why. It's the first Brigham I've had, probably the last as well.

Great Briar Pipe For The Money
I bought this pipe and one other, received both yesterday. This one has a large, generous bowl which stays lit...and has a flat spot on the bottom, so I can set it down and it will remain upright. This is my first experience with the Rock Maple filter, so I don't know how that will play out, but overall - a great Value pipe, for the money!

This is the pipe you want...
Love this pipe - a great look, feels good in both the hand and the mouth. When I am heading out on a road trip, fishing or training horses, I want a smoke for a while from a pipe I don't have to fool around with - and this is the pipe I take with me. Brigham hit this one out of the park!

Great pipe for the price. Looking forward to adding another Brigham or two to my collection.

Great pipe at a great
Great pipe at a great price. This pipe looks like it costs a lot more than it does but it smokes a little hot until broken in, which happens quickly. Well worth the money and I will be buying more.

Nice little pipe to have as a backup for my aros. Maple filter is my first of this type.

My all-time favourite pipe
The 365 is hands-down my favourite smoking pipe. The bowl shape is perfect, the finish is well done, and most importantly the draught hole is exactly the right specifications. The Black Satin 235 had a narrow draught hole that I had to widen myself so it wouldn't be too tough to draw but the 365 is perfect.

Awesome look. Ok smoke
Looks fantastic and smokes decent especially for the sale price of 50 bucks. However, it seems to retain a lot of moisture in the chamber between smokes and stinks because of this even if you clean obsessively. Also, the hole where the air draws in at bottom of the chamber is too low and little particles of ash or tobacco tend to get stuck in there halfway through smoking so that you can’t draw easily. Really annoying. Does a good job keeping the smoke cool in your mouth even without the filter (which I don’t use). No bite.

The smoke was good, the filter made for less biting of the tongue. Had a little trouble getting filter to line up correctly when changing filter. Was able to find problem and corrected it. Overall I like the pipe.

Perfect first briar
Great pipe! It's my primary pipe since upgrading from my cob. I actually really like the rock maple filters it uses also because they're cleanable and last a long time. I just use 2 at a time and clean and rotate them out daily until it's time to replace with 2 new ones. Works for me.

Great Beginner Pipe
I bought this as a beginner pipe. In comparison to some of this others I have purchased, this pipe stays cool, it's a breeze to clean, and the rock maple filter works well. A great bang for your buck!

Just started smoking a pipe. Had troubles in the beginning. Smokes like a dream now.

Such a great pipe for the price.
I really did not expect more than a good, inexpensive pipe that smoked reasonably well...I got much more than that. It has become the pipe I tend to reach for most often when I am smoking something other than an aromatic. It is well made, fit and finish is great, very basic, but great. The pipe is very light so clenching is effortless. At this price and with the Rock Maple Distillator System it really can not be beaten. The Rock Maple System really makes a difference if you like to smoke aromatics that tend to be a bit damp. Highly Recommended.

Black Satin says it all for smooth creamy cavendishes and evening elegance
The Satin 235 is a Brigham that smokes a smooth, velvety, evening of Cavendish and cream for me. The metal interior tips for the stem keeps the smoking clean and tasting tobacco, not the pipe.

Perfect pipe for the price.
Perfect pipe for the price. This has been getting a bit more use than my favorite Savinellis lately for it’s cool smoke and ease to keep lit.

Love This Pipe!
I recently returned to pipe smoking and decided to keep it simple. I'd never tried Brigham before and it was reasonably priced so I gave it a shot. Filled it with a blend called Edward G. Robinson's and puffed. Terrific. Clean, dry and cool all the way down to the bottom. Tried it with a favored English blend, same thing. I smoked it with and without the filter, excellent either way. I now have seven of these Brighams in various shapes and finishes. They never let me down. Perfect puffers.

Nice pipe
Very nice pipe for the price. My only complaint is that the filters tend to get gummed up very quickly. That being said, worth every penny.

Poor Poor Me
This pipe with it's very unique filter smokes so good all I can say is poor poor me for not ordering at least 2 for the price they were . What a deal what a great pipe love the big bowl.

Good Starting pipe
Pipe has a nice feel is lightweight the drawn it is slightly restricted. I am pleased with the pipe and would consider buying a second one The Maple Rock filter does seem to cut down on bite but I don't know if it's worth the work involved with constantly cleaning a filter or changing it

Economy Pipe Sale
I recently purchased a Brigham and a Crown pipe which were on special. These are obviously that might be called economy level pipes (apx. $35 a piece). They smoke just fine after breaking in. Some as good, or better than the few more expensive pipes I’ve purchased over the last 60+ years. Guess the real test is how well they do while I’m fishing (where I spend most of my time now). More than one (that’s an understatement!) has ended up in the drink, dropped on the rocks, and generally been terribly mistreated. Thank goodness for Pipes and Cigars and their occasional sales on reasonably priced, good smoking ‘Economy Pipes’ for old goats like me, and maybe you!?!

Great pipe for small $$
I’ll admit that I was a bit skeptical about this pipe given the low price point; but it is a fantastic smoke. Passes the pipe cleaner test even with the ‘rock maple condensator’ in (though TBH, the pipe cleaner test has never been a reliable predictor of the smoking quality of a pipe for me). Nice and light for clenching, but still has beefy enough walls at the bowl section to give a nice cool smoke. Break-in was fairly quick, too - I can’t tell if they “pre-smoked” the bowl, but I didn’t note any coating on the chamber, so I doubt it. All in all, a really nice pipe - and good looking, too. 10/10 would buy again. And will!
