It's been a while since we received a large shipment of Butz-Choquin pipes, but we recently had the chance to get a large quantity at closeout, and we were stunned with a lot of what we saw. The Butz-Choquin Rocaille (loosely translated as "rock garden") were certainly among the standouts when we were unpacking the order. These are traditionally shaped pipes that are treated to a nicely detailed sandblasting. A rich, ruby stain is applied, and a light polish finishes the appearance. Bright metal trim gives these briars a distinctive look, and the crowning touch is a brilliant red and black swirled acrylic stem that's both durable and comfortable, delivering an almost cumberland-like color.
These pipes have an MSRP of around $125, and I've seen plenty of less impressive factory pipes for a lot more. In fact, factory made briars with such fine detailing and metal trim often sell for $150 or more. The Butz-Choquin Rocailles typically sell for about $100, and I would consider that quite fair, but since we bought these as a closeout, we're going to pass the savings along to you, as we always do. Get one while they're still here at the great, low price of only $79.99!
