Caldwell - The Last Tsar cigars are limited-run, with a most unusual blend of rare tobaccos that create flavor combinations you wouldn't expect.
The wrapper is similar to that of the Eastern Standard - a hybrid of Connecticut Shade and Aripiraca, grown in Ecuador that they call Dark Connecticut. But for The Last Tsar, it's more heavily fermented and processed differently. Also included is some Carbonell leaf - another highly unusual element. The result is a cedary cigar with added notes of roasted nuts, earth, seet citrus, cocoa, pepper with a bit of saltiness that weaves its way in and out. It's not cheap, but The Last Tsar is a singular experience that every fan of full-bodied cigars should try.
