Finally got around to ..reviewing my latest purchase...Cpt Black Round.
To me it was a little bland, not a lot of flavor or aroma. Although it was really mild, it did have a little bite.
Overall, a good choice for varitey in my tobacco flavors.

To me, this blend doesn't even rate a star but I had to pick one to write a review. This is by far one of the WORST blends I've ever smoked in my life. I've smoked (and love) CB regular (white) for years and I cannot even believe this is made & marketed by the same Captain Black. I'm glad I only bought 2 ounces for a test drive. As it is I'm going to be tossing 1.9 ounces into the compost pile. Never again.

I like to have a nice smoke when I get home from work. Something smooth and mellow that takes my mind off the the pressure of a hard day. This tobacco is the one to do it. Smooth and mellow and a new number one for me.

A great all day smoke. Mellow flavor, cool smoking with no bite. This and Captain Black Dark are my go to every top choices. Reminds me of the Captain Black Premium pouches I used to smoke in the 1990s.

Exactly as named "Round Taste". All around great day to day pipe tobacco for old Sea Dogs and sailors. Mild to medium strength and no bite. "Right down the keel from stem to stern".

I think this is the lightest in the Captain Black line. I think it is very lightly flavored compared to the other blends. Has a nice pouch aroma. Kind of a shag cut. It reminds me of some of the Dutch pouch blends, but better tasting to me. Pretty smooth, but I got a little bite if I smoked it fast. This one is #5 on my list of CB blends. If you like more flavor and aroma in your aromatics then go for Royal, Dark, Original, or Gold.
