At one time, Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta was considered their finest cigar, which is saying a lot considering the steady stream of great cigars they've made. It garnered a '90' rating back in 2003. We recently found out that there was a small supply available, so we grabbed as many as our greedy little hands could hold.
Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta uses select long-fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras and an Indonesian binder. It's finished with a golden Connecticut Shade wrapper, creating a mellow but flavorful cigar with hints of leather, oak, nuts, and a hint of pepper. The best thing is that the price is comparable to what you would have paid back in '03, so stock up while they last!
