From the same factory that has produced cigars for Sam Leccia, Gurkha, and Torano, we're glad to bring you the first cigars rolled and sold under their family name - Casa Cuevas Habano.
The four generations of cigar making Cuevas family member have their roots in Cuba, but today they base their operation in Santiago, Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera Las Lavas factory. For this medium-bodied gem, they begin with a silky Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, and enhance that profile with a Habano binder as well. A combination of select Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers complete the picture, resulting in a cigar that has dried fruit sweetness along with leather, cedar, coffee, toast, and some pepper. Casa Cuevas Habano represents terrific value, excellent construction, and plenty of rich flavor.
