Not as good as Vertical
Not as good as Vertical Limit Cascadia but still a good smoke if you want to try something different.

Smooth Tasty Blend
I purchased Cascadia's 5 tin sampler and I'm very happy I did. Open Water is my favorite "aromatic" blend out of the sampler. Very lightly flavored with a nice mild taste and aroma of light fruit. It smokes surprisingly smooth with no bite. I love that the tobacco flavors and aroma come through primarily over the light topping. The flavoring compliments the blend perfectly.

Not my favorite, but it’s decent.
This blend is decent. Not my favorite, it’s very mild and the burleys over power the virginias. The top not is pleasant and leaves a nice after taste. I like the plug form and I like to cut this tobacco into cubes.

Quite mild and smooth. The very dense plug smells as rich as a Christmas fruitcake. The smoke is of a subtle almost neutral flavour. Like grasses. The aroma will not offend the person in the back of the canoe.

Good in a variety of preparations and pipe sizes
I'm really enjoying this one. I've tried it in several pipes of varied shape and size and the dense plug format has allowed me to experiment with the cut and preparation. For convenience, cutting it into cubes and gravity filling can't be beat. However, I've found that a thin, lightly rubbed, slice really let's the Virginia's shine and gives the best overall flavor. I would also recommend a small to medium bowl. There was something lost in my larger pipes. The literature says a "subtle fragrant dose of fruit essence", but I struggle to find it myself. The predominant aroma to my nose is a sweet somewhat anise-like fragrance that reminded me vaguely of Sutliff's Mixture No. 79 (though it was more a like a sense memory than a direct comparison). I happen to enjoy No. 79, so I was immediately intrigue. If you don't care for that blend, don't worry, the flavor and room note show no resemblance. It's the tobacco that shines in the flavor department and the topping sweetens the room note just enough to get the wife's approval for an indoor smoke.

It has a strong flavor,
It has a strong flavor, with something sweet like marshmallows. I cut mine into ribbons and it smokes for a long while, longer than other blends. I enjoy this very much!

Easy Going
Tin note is grapes preserved in the lees of the wine. Mulled wine. Spiced with ginger and fall flavors. There's a slight hint of fresh cut grass. As noted by some others, it is moist. I dry mine over the toaster while making breakfast, and coffee for my cascadia mug

A solid offering from Cascadia
With a nose redolent of hay and sweetgrass and a smooth draw, this tobacco is perfect for an evening (or a morning, or an afternoon) to oneself, either at a campsite in the woods or on one's deck or patio.

Open water
Great Tin Art A woody, smoke yet fruity /:Anise flavored topping . Similar flavor to Erinmore Mixture. Very moist as noted in description. Best to pack pipe and let it sit a day. Takes a few relights to get it going. A medium to full body smoke. Good nicotine kick. Worth trying.
