The best I have had
The best I have had of the series so far. It has a real nice taste and burns for a long time. I just peal back the layers grind it all up and stick it in a plastic bag with no air and put it back in the container. Perfect size to hold the grindings.

Amazing
A truly delightful smoke. I cut a bit off and packed my bowl the night before (Rattray Majesty #17), and it was a great morning smoke. Good with or without coffee. Sweet, and the nuttiness of the burley definitely shines through. There was also some light citrus notes that I was not expecting, but found myself very intrigued by. Definitely a blend I will try again.

Cannot Wait for my next bowl
Wanted to write a second review now that I’ve finished my first bowl. Wow. It had one of the cleanest finishes. I cut and lazily rubbed out my first half-bowl and let it sit for 3 hours on the cutting board (unintentionally) before smoking. No moisture left in the bowl, a decent nic hit. Man was that maybe the best bowl I’ve ever smoked. Floral, nutty on the tongue, barely any lingering anything after having a glass of water. There was some jasmine floralness, nutty, the faintest sweetness, thick white smoke, burned cool. I discovered that when I was at the bottom of the bowl having trouble relighting that all I had to do was shake out the loose white ash to reveal the lightly charred remains below before re-tamping and lightinand getting another 10 minute smoke to a fine white ash. Was good to the lens! This is absolutely superb. There was a hefty amount of spice on just the first few puffs, but then gives way to the wonderfully nuanced flavors within. Man and what flavor! Really this tobacco has high flavor quantity. It almost makes me never want to go back to aros. This is one of those smokes that may appear simple and straightforward but is really surprisingly nuanced depending on how you smoke it and doesn’t bore! The natural tobacco flavor is strong yet never overpowering. Imagine one of the best cigars you’ve ever had but with none of the drawbacks. That would be Cascadia Vertical Limit. The product description fits the experience very well. This was one of those rare times in my life where I so look forward to trying a product and hope for it to be like I imagined, and it actually was, BUT was even better because the experience was so good. I wouldn’t smoke it on an empty stomach, and was slightly dizzy when I stood up. Despite all that, and what others have said, to me this could easily be an all day smoke because the flavor is so good yet again somehow not overwhelming. This is what I imagined pipe smoking should be like when I first got into the hobby

Very flavorful natural tobacco
If you love the flavor of the tobacco leaf, look no further. I’m sitting down to my first bowl of this. This is my first “heavier” pipe tobacco, and it is absolutely sublime. I find myself almost never wanting to smoke anything else in my pipe again. The description is right on, and I’m regretting only packing half a bowl. The nutty burley remains on the palate and is so enticing to have me come back for more. This is exactly what I was hoping for and looking for in a smoke. The virginias really peak through and maybe are the main? It’s just balanced so well. This is full of flavor, finally! I may have to stick up on this, but I think I may just order the 60$ Cascadia sampler, because if this one tin is this good, I can imagine the rest are just as amazing. Wow I’m such a fan of the plug now.

High quality if you like very heavy tobaccos
high quality tobacco that didn't fit my flavor profile. I was hoping to taste a bit more of the spice that it said in the description. instead it has a very heavy smoky taste that I wasn't ready for.

The best full flavored smoke!
Full of flavor and gives you extended smoking time. I'll re-order.

A very good full bodied blend
What I liked about this blend is that the dark fired Kentucky was not as overwhelming as it can be. The tobacco smoked smooth with a bit of tangy sweetness. In the past, I peeled the flakes from the plug and loaded my pipe. This time I used a knife to cut slices from the plug which worked much better. Provided a better draw and the tobacco stayed lit longer - less relighting needed.

earth, wood, nuts, and a
earth, wood, nuts, and a little molasses along with a mild sourness a lot of earth, wood, spice, herbs, vegetation, floralness, and some sourness creamy anise. The plug has some density, but cuts easily enough to suit your preference. May need a light dry time, although I did not do that. Burns cool, clean and very slow with a very consistent nutty, creamy sweet, bold, rugged, deeply rich flavor. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl. Requires a lot of relights. Has a long lingering after taste, and stronger room note. It is not an all day smoke.

An Excellent Plug
The burley and dark fired Kentucky combine to provide a deep, rich flavor. The plug cuts easily. Moisture level was low enough to smoke right away. Drying time would have reduced the number of relights but it wasn’t bad as is. This is a strong smoke. I recommend having a good meal prior to enjoying a bowl. I highly recommend trying this blend.

Smooth, with a hint of sweetness
Not bad. This tobacco is exceptionally relaxing. Very smooth. A hint of sweetness. Large on nicotine. I enjoy this Vertical Limits by Cascadia.

A Classic in the Making
Nicely compressed plug. A bit moist but smokable from the tin. 30-60 minutes drying time helps though. I sliced half the plug into flakes and the other half I gave a few pulses in a coffee grinder. Either way works fine. Mechanically, it lights easily (after drying) and needs only a few relights. The taste is kentucky but there is no harshness that some Kentucky’s can have. There is a sweetness mixed with the savory, and all components are in perfect proportion. The casing is done kind of lightly applied anise. Not enough to mask the taste of the tobacco; the casing serves to underline the harmony of the blend. The nic level is higher than what one might expect from the tin aroma and taste, but it wont be a problem for experienced smokers. Overall, this is an EXCELLENT tobacco for lovers of kentucky.

Excellent and strong
Excellent tobacco, if you like them on the stronger side, after a few puffs the nic hit takes you heavenward, on the retro hale there is definite sweetness and I find it to be pleasant smell wise, stands on its own and I very enjoyable

Pretty darn good
I let this one dry a little bit in the tin for a couple weeks. I am smoking a bowl right now, and I have to say that this is one of my favorites. Smooth, and with a decent nic hit. If you like Kentucky dark fired tobaccos, than this one is worth a try. Yummy

Nice
Very moist need to cut it with a knife on a cutting board and mince it up good. Also leave it dry. A good hearty smoke. Not my favorite but nice indeed.
