Good Briar Pipe
Casillero 728 straight is a great pipe. The pipe has a good draw and bowl does not overheat, It is comfortable in my hand. If you are starting to smoke pipes or are looking to add one to your rotation, you could not go wrong with this pipe. A good suggestion to all pipe reviewers out there. When writing online "report," please criticize product in-scope. Focus on specific item and do not give a product "low stars" rating, yet failing to provide substance on your review. In other words, a low star rating with a "I do not like pipe," or "I prefer bent pipe," or "I like other name brand pipes better..." These types of statements are not constructive and does not help tobacco pipe community. Not to mention you are impacting product statistics and potential buyers, and these are the people that might want to buy product. If you indeed did not like the product and want to share review with community, then consider to be specific to product in-scope or rather provide Pros and Cons about such and for sure your review will be greatly appreciated from us all.

Nice pipe
Got one of these in a sampler for Christmas. Very easy-smoking pipe. Nice size, draws well, not too heavy. Seems quite durable. The stem is generous, on some pipes I've had issues where I clench with it closing up over time, but this one seems to be able to handle my bite well.

Great smoke, visually not the prettiest
Great bargain pipe. Smokes really well, not too heavy for people who clench. The finish makes it look a little synthetic but looks aside it's well worth the price.

Nice pipe
Looks great, smoked well and nice feel to it but due to amount I smoke, I burned a whole through bowl pretty quickly. Good back up pipe.

Great Starter Kit
I'm just learning to enjoy a pipe after years of smoking cigars and love'n every minute of it. A great way to start with the kit you sent me.

Defining a Bargain
Not the prettiest finish--mixed black and natural stain--but nobody smokes the finish. It's a good size, with a generous bowl and a more than adequate shank and stem. It smokes smoothly with its smoke hole bored at just the right location. Lets a pipe cleaner do its job easily and effectively. Comfortable in the mouth and worth every penny charged.

I like 'em
Not being one to turn my nose up at inexpensive pipes, I was interested to find out about the add on pipes that come with the samplers. I liked the 230 enough to get another sampler kit and got another Cassillero (Shape 728) they both have good sized bowls, nice draw, and a good sturdy bit. The carbon coating is a bit of a downer for the first 6 or 7 bowls, but after breaking in that taste goes away completely. The rustication is not as attractive as higher end pipes and is a bit slapdash, but let's be realistic, you have to pay for a pretty finish. These pipes do the trick, they convey tobacco smoke to your mouth, and that's all one should be expecting in a basket pipe.

Casillero pipe a winner
Good solid yet light enough to be comfortable alone. Nice feel, broke in well, did not burn. Performs well on daily, repeated use. Will get another soon.

Cassillero 230
This is my first new briar, which was included in a bulk package of tobaccos and accessories. The first few smokes in it were a bit awkward as one might expect from a new pipe. But after finding a tobacco that works well with it and having a few good sessions, I'm excited when it comes up in my rotation. If smoked at proper pace, the bowl stays fairly cool throughout. It is officially my 'day off' pipe for relaxing at the lake.

OK
Pro's = Nice looking pipe, light weight. Con's = no ability to use a filter. Difficult to clean because you can't pass a pipe cleaner through the stem and you get pieces of tobacco in your mouth when you draw.

Great pioe for the money
This is my second Casillero pipe. For the price it is an excellent piow. Fits well in my hand and easy to clench. Finish is very nice and rustication is nice. All in all a nice pipe and will buy a couple more!
