This is a cool burning tobacco with a nice room note and an even better aroma in the pouch. I found the taste factor a little lacking, but others may well like it.

I usually smoke 4th Generation 1897. Recently it has been in short supply at my tobacconist and recently on line. Have smoke a few samples a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. It is a little stronger on the Virginia side and missing some of the matured burley of 4th Generation. It is satisfying and the room note is pleasant. It I can get a hold of some more 4th Generation(1897) it will make an interesting taste test.

This aro is not as sweet as most others. The vanillas flavor is very subtle. You have to smoke this tobacco slow or it gets hot.If I want a sweeter smoke, I just mix in some vanilla black cavendish and the combination is excellent. This is a nice tobacco and I will but it again.

I am new to the pipe so no expert, but this is my favorite tobacco so far. It has a nice aftertaste and a little spice flavor. It smells great in the bag and my wife says the smoke smells good as well. Now if I get her to let me smoke in the house that will be the ultimate testimonial.
