This Comoy's Vanguard 296 Canadian is in good condition with only a slight hint of rim darkening and has decent grain. It's hard to exactly pinpoint the age, but our best guess in 1960s. It has a replacement stem without the 'C', but the stem shows no sign of wear. The nomenclature on the top of the oval shank is light but clearly readable, and the nomenclature on the bottom of the shank is crisp. It has some nice grain and is quite light. It has been fully reconditioned and is primed to deliver many years of good use.
