Great flavor. Strong fruity smell
Great flavor. Strong fruity smell and I did not think I would like it but it is now my favorite tobacco. It does not taste like it smells in the can. A little burns a long time and gives a very strong Vitamin N dose.

An incredibly smooth smoke, a mouthfeel I've never experienced before and exceptionally cool from the 12.5 inch churchwarden. It was a little moist, but I don't think it needs drying. There's a distinct floral element, and vegetation from I take to be the exotic Katsuri. Maybe a touch of toquin, anise, and almond milk. The Perique is only a faint memory that prickles the edges one's mind, like a stylite lost in a river of damask flowing with with eyes. I had a dream, but... it was not all a dream. It was in no palace nor pleasant pavilion, but a barren place in the forbidden lands beyond Ooth-Nargai.

First time buying plug tobacco,
First time buying plug tobacco, so I had no presuppositions. The blend is sweet without being overly saccharine. Think less like a heavy Cavendish sweet, and more like a fruit forward aftertaste. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 was because I feel like I am relighting very frequently. That could just as well be my cadence and pipe though (Missouri Meerschaum smoked pretty briskly to get done before the kids wake up).

I like this blend not
I like this blend not so happy that they changed the tin art. Smells great it’s a nice smoke for me it has a strong nicotine hit so I have watch it . But it’s a good smoke one of my favorites from the Lovecraft line.

I think they mean composed, not composted.

Dreams of Kadath had me dreaming of a crate of this stuff...
This tobacco has a finesse which weaves the tobacco's incensed aroma, rich depth of complex flavors, and even a balanced sweetness. The cake is dense but very easy to pull sheets from. I truly love what this tobacco pulls off, I find it both rich and balanced more than intense, with a tolerable and even delightful room note depending on how one feels with english and balkan blends in general. This is a delightful blend which I typically prefer later in the day, but it could easily fit into a lot of occasions, after a hearty meal, etc.

Enticing aroma, great smoke
Dreams of Kadath instantly became one of my go to evening smokes. The tin note is complex and enticing and it smokes the same way; dynamic flavor with subtle changes as it smokes down. Rub out or cube and leave to sit and dry for a bit before packing a bowl.

Nice Blend
Has a complexity like nothing else out there. The only bad thing about it, is it doesn't come in bulk.

Delicious
Smooth smoke and medium to full bodied aspect when sipping slowly. It’s a fairly cool smoke. Plum like flavor with raisins and fruitiness. There is a sour note and even a sense of tasting something baked. Excellent retrohale. It has a fairly pleasant room note. I especially enjoy it at night on the porch. Overall, excellent. Complex flavors, but you know what to expect. I’m purchasing more for sure.

Bought for the Lovecraft, stayed for the complex flavors!
First off I bought this because I'm a Lovecraft fan; but this reall is an incredible smoke! The tin aroma reminded me of BlackBerry wine. Since this is most I suggest a medium light tamping with loose shreds on top to get it lit. The initial flavors were cereal like Life, stewed mushroom, and oak woodfire. The 2nd half of the bowl (I used an apple bowl) saw the return of the BlackBerry wine flavor mixed with the oak campfire; very complex! I enjoyed it with tea with honey, lemon probably would have taken away from the flavors. It burned slow and long, but beware: this was a nic bomb for me, so you may wish to smoke it in the evening after all work has been done. Please give it a try, this is easily the most complex tobacco I've ever tried.

Dreams of Kadath
Just received it and smoked a pipe. A bit moist and required relighting, but extremely flavorful. Multilayered throughout the smoke and would likely get fantastic with aging. Someone was moaning about C&D always having burley in their mixes, but it all balances well. Get a bit of the taste from everything in the mix.

Love it!
It will take a few Re lights if you smoke as soon as you get it but the taste is amazing packed with flavor and a non spicy punch

Dreams of my next bowl
C&D has become my favorite for pipe blends and this is another reason why. The room and especially the tin note is outstanding. The flavor is bold and delicious with hints of spice and raisins that give this blend a lot of depth. A real winner from the folks at C&D

Very nice
I've tried a few Cornell & Diehl tobacco's, they're usually what I buy so I decided to try this as something new...I believe it takes the cake! Pun intended. Plan to order more.

A must try
I'opened a can, smoked half a bowl, then ordered two more tins.. Very unique. Almost like blueberry with a sodt vinegar twang.

Awesome
This is my favorite blend right now. The katatini gives it this very interesting flavor.

Lovely Journey indeed
I've been smoking pipe for about a year now and this was a very special experience. Upon opening I got a strong smell of red wine, and a subtle chocolate. I wouldn't call this a everyday smoke but it is a great change in the line up. I would be very interested to see this one with some age on it. Smoke it slow for best flavor and no bite. Good late night smoke for those times you want something a bit more complex and contemplative.

Get 2 one for now, one for cellar!
I've been smoking a pipe almost a year now, and this is one of the most interesting tobaccos I've smoked so far. From the opening of the can I was amazed at the depth of aroma. At first I regretted opening it as it seemed like it would be a good one for the cellar. But upon lighting I was taken on quite a journey. Probably not an everyday smoke, but what a treat when you want something different. As for the flavor, I get some red wine notes and a bit of chocolate too. I'm told the room note is very nice as well. My wife is tired of me talking about it so I had to write a review. Thanks PnC!

Cellaring
Keeping on shelf for three year minimum aging in original tin.

Tastes Like a Fig Newton
Interesting taste, decent smoke but in my opinion a few years of aging would improve it
