Excellent full flavor tobacco.

I got it because I love Pirate Kake and was told it was similar. Good but not as good as Pirate Kake.

Nice blend. Like a little more Latakia.

This is an awesome smoke. This has quickly become 1 of my favorite blends. A good strong English blend with a couple extra flavors.

Excellent tobacco full of interesting flavors. For me it tasted like slightly sweet, tangy, and smoky cocoa powder. No bite and full of flavor. This is my everyday english blend.

I love this blend. Latakia has a strong presence in the blend, but it does not overshadow the other components. I definitely get some Burley, Virginia, and Oriental as I smoke, not much Perique. Burns cool, no way it could bite. Its a nice change of pace in flavor that your typical English blend.

Arrived very dried out, not moist. Don't know if that is how the blend is since first time trying. Burns very quickly.

As a cigar and pipe smoker, I Was anxious to try engine 99. It is very reminiscent of Kentucky fire cured cigars by Drew Estate Which I love, and is in my regular rotation. This will now be in my pipe regular rotation.

I've been searching for a really good bulk English/Balkan blend to stock the cellar with and this is it. This blend is very similar to Hearth and Home Blackhouse with a very Latakia forward earthy campfire flavor that I personally can't get enough of. If you like English blends than you have to try this one. This blend matches it's great flavor with good manors with an effortless burn and no bite even when pushed. It probably won't win over any non-pipers with the room note but you will be too busy enjoying it to care!

The tobacco smells perfect to me; latakia-forward smokiness. To me the room note is like God's Own Breath but non-pipers may think they are downwind of a campfire. I am tempted to give this 5 stars but I am just now returning to the briar after about 25 years away. Don't want to make any rash decisions. :-)

It's a great blend, with lots of complexity, that smokes best in a wide bowl. With a subtly sweet flavor, it's the lasted mixture in my regular rotation.

Latakia forward blend with varying spice throughout the bowl. Very tasty. Not as smooth or creamy as other heavy lat blends like Russians, but not as pricey either. Since it is available in bulk, it is certainly worth a try for a lat lover. Not in my daily rotation but I certainly enjoy it a few times a week.

Move over Big English, Engine 99 might just have the right of way. Good complex heavy English. Smokey, thick, creamy and full. Big chunks and ribbons. Burns well. Tastes great. Cheap price. Are 'ya smokin' yet?
