Cornell & Diehl Exhausted Rooster may have a funny-sounding name, but this is one serious tobacco. Select, sweet Virginias are combined with smoky dark-fired leaf, and a splash of Perique. It's finished with a subtle top note that is barely noticeable in the flavor, but enhances the aroma. The tobaccos are pressed and sliced to allow you to prepare the tobacco in any way you prefer. I'm a big fan of many C&D blends and Exhausted Rooster is among them. It's a Va/Burl/Per blend of medium strength, with just the right kick of spice from the Perique. Delivered in an easy to rub out flake, I find the flavor easy to smoke bowl after bowl. It's become one of my go-to favorites. Another great C&D stand out blend.

Smells like a fig newton, light plum-liqour hints, grassy virginia, fruity perique, slight pepper. Needs a little dry time or bites but only on the first third of the bowl. Grows more delicious as you smoke it. Medium body. I was highly impressed, very unique smoke. Not my daily but will buy more. Pairs well with a fruity IPA.

Very tasty stout little smoke this one is. I enjoy it enough that this is my third tin and I hope Cornell & Diehl will keep right on making this for years to come. They have a buyer in me at least.

The perfect balance of Burley, Virginia and Perique. I love VaPers but every now and then I need a little punch and the added Burley delivers! Medium nic hit, great flavor!

Love the flavor, so much, but seems to get flakey almost powdery, clogs up the pipe, for that I doubt I'd buy it again.

This is a criminally underrated tobacco. I smoked through a tin of this in record time. A stand alone tobacco, not sure what to compare it to. Quite unique.
