Cornell & Diehl's Golden Ash is a soft and gentle blend for those who enjoy the smokiness of Latakia in measured doses. A base of Burleys, both cube and rough-cut and bright Virginia flake-cut leaf are accented by a condimental amount of the dark smoky tobacco, for a relaxing and easy experience.
I purchased several ounces this past summer. No matter how hard I try I just cannot get myself to like this blend. I prefer English blends but my pallet just fights me on this one. It is tolerable if I smoke it in a small pipe very slowly - but this one is just not a good one for me. I give this three stars because the tobacco seems to be good quality and burns nicely. Otherwise, I'm moving on to other blends.

I personally love the smell and taste of this. I smoke several different tobaccos through various pipes and this makes for a nice change of pace. Variety is the spice of life. Enjoy.

Eh... OK I suppose. Little too Lat for me. Originally an aro smoker, I have been straying lately into more complex things. This was a bit strong for me. Nice to light and keep lit but too many harsh nuances for me. I would say go to BlackHouse or Magnum Opus. From my history lessons, maybe a great start is Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe which IS terrific but I digress.
