Cornell & Diehl had a sensation on their hands a few years back when they introduced their Small Batch Carolina Red Flake, made from one special crop of red Virginia. Now they've taken it a step further - introducing Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Carolina Red Flake with Perique.
Using another special crop of red Virginia, they've created a special blend that includes true St. James Perique from 2002. These tobaccos are then pressed into flakes for preparation in whatever way you choose. Expect a toasty flavor profile with some deep sweetness and just enough spice for perfect balance. This is a very limited run, so get yours while they last.
This has become my go to VaPer. Good thing I bought plenty. Well balanced and a treat when drawn slowly. Requires about 30 min of drying prior to packing and burns cool and dry. Consistent throughout the bowl with no tongue bite. What I have jarred in my rotation is aging nicely.

This blend is excellent fresh with some very promising aging potential. I have one tin opened and in rotation with another 8 tin tucked away in the hope they will improve...make no mistake though, this blend doesn't need time to be palatable. A wonderful blend.
