Nice smoke.
This is a nice smoke, mellow flavor, not too hot, and stays lit. The room note is nose friendly too.

I didn't get the wow factor that I had expected from a C&D blend. I wasn't displeased, but it was really just an average smoke that didn't leave me longing for more.

Good but a little too
Good but a little too much bit for my taste.

Outstandingly Standard
This blend checked every box you would expect from a Vanilla Cavendish in the most vanilla way imaginable. I mean it’s a good smoke, sure, but it’s uninspired in it’s delivery and barely memorable after the bowl burns out.

Great aroma
Great aroma and very good flavor. Reminds me of a blend my grandad used to use.

Nicer than expected
I tried this during a P&C shootout against Lane vanilla. My initial preference was for the Lane, but then as I smoked through both, I decided I enjoyed the lighter-topped C&D better. Really nice aroma, and I received compliments from the neighbors as I was walking the dog. This has a tendency to be a drier tobacco and smokes "quick", but it very easy and a great all-day blend. Definitely grows on you over time.

More like Vanilla Scented Cavendish.
This is a berry well made Cavendish pipe tobacco. The leaf is soft and sponge in the hand while being easy to fill your pipe up and go. The smell in your storage pouch is amazing. But the taste when lit is lacking. You get a nice pleasent Cavendish with no vanilla.

Not bad but not for me
Picked up some on a battle between this vanilla and the lane vanilla. It smoked great but wasn't really flavorful. Room note was minimal. I'm going to mix it in with other flavors and will continue to smoke on it but prefer the Lane by leaps and bounds.

Cornell & Diehl Vanilla Cavendish
I think it's OK, but I really can't say it's the best vanilla I've smoked. I really don't think it's a cavendish, it seems to be more of a burl tobacco than cavendish. I wont be buying it again. Sorry! It's a 2-3 star in my book. Thank you.

This a hard smoking tobacco. It has a light flavor. But it works good a mix to other tobaccos like mint or cherry.

Not quite what i wanted.
I was looking forward to trying another tobacco and like it's description it's a "smooth, easy smoking," but i didnt really notice much vanilla in it. It smokes well; although a little fast, down to a small bit of grey ash. Compaered to other vanilla's, its a good tobacco, but just wasn't quite what I like. I think I'm sticking with Lane's 1Q and Sutliff's 1M or some BCA for now.

reviewing my latest puchase of C&D's vanilla cavendish
i love this stuff! don't ask me to do stuff like rate the subtle nuances, the flavors, the hint of this and that......can't. but i like the taste, the wife likes the aroma and it's very reminiscent of a tobacco i used 40 years ago called "paisley" from s shop in stockton, ca. which i loved. and of course they're gone.

Difficult to handle
By no means an expert and certainly have a flexible pallet, but I could not finish one packing. Had to throw it away.
