After Cult brought out Blood Red Moon, which was a huge success, we wondered what was next. Here's the answer - Cult Abacus.
If Blood Red Moon was the sweet treat that was perfect after supper for a dessert-like repast, Abacus will fill in the rest of the day. It's subtle, smooth with just the right hint of mellow sweetness. Excellent Burley is combined with some tasty golden Virginia and a special black Cavendish that's noted for its easy-smoking qualities. Then the mixture is treated to elements of cocoa, warm vanilla and the essence of hazelnuts, applied with a light hand, for a soft, pleasant flavor that's great any time of day. The aroma is comforting and unobtrusive. If you're looking for the perfect gentle aromatic, you've got to give Cult Abacus a try!
Mellow blend, good smoke. Cult's Blood Moon was over the top with cherry, in a good way, I liked it. Abacus is on the mellow side, very nutty vanilla tin note. Flavors hold while smoking it, a lot of other aros don't. No bite. When I finish this tin I don't know if I'll re-order, not because of the blend, but because there are so many others to try out there. It is worth a try.
Abacus is a very fine blend. It has a light taste and great aroma which allows smoking it all day. I put this in the same category as Odin's Wind.
This stuff is pretty good. The casings are not as dominant in this mix as in the Blood Red Moon Cult. This would be a good all day smoke for any aromatic fan.
