Good quality product.

While the Decatur Dossier is a fine product, the only reason why I ended up with it was to purchase Russ’s Cavendish in the Woods. Seems like a waste when someone else would have gladly paid for it and actually wanted it.

I've tried so many tobaccos that it's hard to keep up with them. Now if I remember to write them down I won't have any trouble and accidentally try one is already tried.

This is not only smart looking it is a great way to keep record of your Tobacco and other Pipe items such as filters or cleaners etc.

This was a really nice 'free gift that I got for placing an order over a certain $ amount and it's really nice. I write down everything I try and I like to go back and review my experiences when making recommendations . The pen is solid. The only thing is it is just slightly too wide to fit in a back pocket. If it didn't have the.extra 2 inches on the side it'd be a 5 Star Rating. Lots of pages. Faux Leather. Nice.

I like to try all kinds of different tobacco. This is a very easy way to keep track of what I like and don’t like. We know what to re-order. Actually just ordered another one! Very useful tool for those we love all kinds of tobacco.

The Decatur Dossier, IMO, is a good accessory for the avid pipesmoker to have. It has plenty of pages. The page layout is quite well done, having spaces specifically marked for pertinent notations regarding a given tobacco, while leaving the bottom 3/8 of the page for freehand notes. I feel this format would help the smoker get all of its pertinent characteristics notated in a structured fashion and lessen the chance of leaving out something important or forgetting to note a relevant detail. All the while leaving ample space for noting observations not covered in the basic listed categories. That's important since many tobacco blends have tendencies or 'personalities' quite their own. Its overall appearance is quite neat. The embossed Decatur logo on the front cover is sharp. And the cover itself is quite nice in a warm shade of brown leather with supple padding beneath. Not to mention the white border stitching adds to the overall appearance. I also like the accompanying Decatur-logo'ed pen, conveniently elastic-tethered to the rounded extension of the back cover. In all, a nice, well thought-out product, tastefully executed. A winner! And in my particular case, a real sweet deal when purchased while it was on-sale for $10 and ordered along with Captain Black pouches being offered at BOGO at the same time. Wow. So it rates 5 gold stars with yours truly. Overall, I think it's a good idea since there are a lot of us who tend to try and/or rotate amongst lots of different blends, and even the sharpest of minds couldn't possibly keep all of that pertinent data or even personal feelings infallibly catalogued for reliable future reference. So if you are like I was earlier, frequently eyeing this product on the P&C website but hesitant to act upon it, I heartily recommend you buy it, if it's calling your name. - Tim

I think this is a very nice concept that was executed well for beginner needs and value. I have been smoking long enough that I just buy Journals to log my Tobacco Journey. But, I pay a lot more and I am committed to logging my smoking journey. If you are new to the craft or just don't know if you even want to write and smoke, this is a great way to start. They have just enough info to make a log complete without over complicating things.

The dossier is of good quality but I don't document my tobacco adventures. This was a free gift and I appreciate it but would have preferred a lighter or pipe tool or such.

Just getting into pipes and finding different tobacco blends, even blending some on my own and it's easy to keep track using this.

The dossier actually came in a combo kit I purchased, so it was an added perk. It's compact and well organized, but a little too small for my tastes. I would have paid more for it actually if the quality of the "leather" and pen were a little better. It's a great idea, and would serve a pipe smoker well for years. Just not sure it will stand up tonyears of use.

The Decatur Dossier not only looks good it is also a great way to log your tobaccos and keep notes on taste, smoke ability, and reactions to the blends you try. Looks much better than my old black and white note pads!😳

The product simplifies keeping up with the goodies in my cellar. When there are some items that you enjoy at longer intervals, this makes the choice easier. Better than a note pad or sticky notes.

I received this item free with a pipe purchase. The notebook is a nice leathery quality. The pen feels a little cheap but it works.

This is a nice little dossier. You can write a lot of information in them.

This really isn't very well made or useful. Not quality leather, cheesy elastic pen loop, not suitable for pocket carry. Worth what it costs (free)...not much more.

Handy little notebook that gives you a nice way to record your tobacco preferences. Keeps one from repeatedly buying a loser brand.
