A must have product.
This is a great product, that I've been using for years on vulcanized rubber pipe stems. I learned an old cleaning trick for cleaning oxidized hard rubber, use a toothpaste with a polishing compound in it, to scrub off the discoloration until the stem is jet black. Rinse the stem with water and dry polish with a soft cloth. I will sometimes need to use my Dremal with White Diamond Compound on a felt spindle to produce a glass like shiny surface. Then I apply No-Ox to the stem, to preserve the finish. If you have any pipes with Vulcanite stems, you need to have a bottle of this preservative on hand. Start a maintenance program with your pipes, don't let your Vulcanite stems get too far gone. It's easier to prevent stem rot than it is to come in after the fact, and you need to remove a great deal of the stem material while cleaning up the decay. I've got a few pipes that were made at the beginning of the last century with Vulcanite stems. After the initial cleaning when I purchased them over twenty years ago, I used vegetable oil to coat the stems. I discovered No-Ox about ten years ago and I've been using No-Ox on these one hundred and twenty year old Vulcanite stems ever since, and they look brand new. The No-Ox works much better than the vegetable oil did. I have a regular maintenance program that allows me to keep ahead of any oxidation before it occurs. This is a must have for the maintenance and preservation of Vulcanite pipe stems.

A little dab will do ya
Just a drop now, seriously. A drop of this and a cotton ball are all you need for fantastic results.

Great Purchase
I spilled a whole bottle of obsidian oil and bought this to replace it. It does just as good and you get more for your money. It will last a very long time unless, of course, I spill it again.

Expensive but depending on your stems its your best shot at restoration and preservation
Only works for certain stems and you get very little of it for the price

Shines stems, marginal protection against oxidization
I cleaned several pipe stems and used this afterwards. They looked pretty enough. I smoked a few of the pipes and applied this after each smoke. I noticed that this worked better on some vulcanite stems than others. It's maybe a 50/50, but the top thing I can say is that there is no taste, and that's important.

Shine shine
Easy to use and relatively inexpensive way to polish the stems

WORKS GREAT if used properly !!!
I soak my ugly pipe stems in a jar with a lid in a solution of 1 part water--2 parts hydrogen peroxide--1 part baking soda for about 24 hours--SHAKE ONCE IN A WHILE!!. Then I rinse thoroughly-wet stem and work in toothpaste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide(ARM and HAMMER)--as many times as needed until toothpaste remains white--rinse again--coat with N0-Ox --leave for about 4-6 hours--lightly wipe with cotton ball. BEAUTIFUL BLACK SHINY STEMS --NO AFTERTASTE !!!!! NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS--NO SANDING--NO BUFFER !!!

It's ok
I haven't used it long enough to have a solid opinion. But, it hasn't destroyed anything yet and it seems to work as well as obsidian oil. It's a bit naive of me to think I can restore all estate pipes without buying a buffer. As far as I know, though, no ox is helping my newer stems from oxidating. I have no reason to complain and some people pay close attention to a products number of stars. I have no reason to suggest people don't buy the product. Honestly, if faced with the choice of this or obsidian, I'd go with which ever cost less.

It Works
I didn’t know about products like this (I don’t get out much) but this works as advertised, and it does not leave any taste behind. Good stuff.

Keeps pipe stem from oxidation.
Keeps pipe stem from oxidation. But it will not correct previous oxidation. A small drop of this oil will be able to coat up to three pipe stems.

Awesome Stem Oil
This is an oil that will shine any vulcanite stem to a glossy look. If you use it after each smoke you will not get any oxidation from sunlight, moisture, etc. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants a good shine on vulcanite, after removal of oxidation. It will not remove oxidation, but will stop it from oxidizing again. I'll be buying more for sure!

Not worth it.
None of these products really did much of anything. Especially the stem maintenance products. The wax wasn't bad. But, it didn't do much either.
