Don Smith has a nut-brown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, similar to that used on a number of high-priced brands, over the top of a collection of Dominican long-fillers to create a delicate profile that's smooth enough to enjoy any time of day. If you want to stretch your budget while still getting a pleasant smoke, give Don Smith a go.
I had to buy these because of the name!
You see, my Dad passed away last year at 91 years, his name was “Don Smith”. And my ex-Wife, with whom I’m still in love, her name was “Dee”. So when I saw these, I just had to buy a bundle no matter if they turned out to be good or not so.
I’m glad they turned out to be a decent cigar that burns well and burns even and come at a great price.
I’ll probably buy another before I smoke halfway through my first bundle.

Definitely not the best cigar, tight draw compared to what i imagined. And itt burns slower than most 2 dollar cigars I've bought and tastes better than most. For the price you can't beat it, had a leathery nut taste and not much more. Burns somewhat even in some spots and uneven in others but no unraveling problems out of the box surprisingly. 4 stars because it's great value for the money. I don't hate it but don't love it either. Also could have given it a better name than "series dee".
